Our colleagues in Raufoss, Norway, received two awards at the Annual Innlandet Industry Conference on Thursday 24, 2024. The Industry Award celebrates those who contribute to the growth and success of businesses and companies in Innlandet, one of Norway’s key regions, across 10 different categories. We are happy to share that our Raufoss plant won two of these 10 awards, as below: Apprentice of the year: Thormund Øversveen-Vuttudal (CNC machining) was awarded as the ‘Apprentice of the year’. Despite his young age and short experience, Thormund, is a driving force in continuous improvement and competence development in our machining department. Team of the year: Nine process leaders/culture guides in the Cultural Restart program at the KA Raufoss plant were awarded as the ‘Team of the year’. These nine team members have conducted workshops with all employees in KA Raufoss to improve the plant’s working culture, attitudes and communication on all levels. Our team in China at Kongsberg Automotive Morse Shanghai (KAMS), marked 2000 safe product days this October. General Manager Sven Bjørkgård, delivered a speech in Chinese, thanking all employees for their contributions and emphasized that safety is top priority on the company’s agenda. The celebration concluded with employees pledging to achieve the next goal of 3000 days of safe production in the near future. Safety Days at KA Koluszki On September 18 and 25, 2024, our team in KA Koluszki hosted Safety Days at the plant, focusing on hands-on workshops and simulations. Reducing consumption; reusing resources Throwback to one of our sustainability success stories from 2023, where our KA Normanton plant cut their oil consumption by 90% and reused valuable resources. Legal actions against copycats Our team at Kongsberg Automotive (KA) continuously monitors the market for products resembling our innovations and takes swift action to protect them. At the Automechanika fair in Frankfurt last week, we took legal action against three companies exhibiting counterfeit products. In collaboration with local customs, our IP & Law and sales teams acted quickly to confiscate the infringing goods. Offenders were fined, and cease-and-desist letters were issued. Additionally, this week, at IAA Transportation in Hannover, we identified one copycat, and the company voluntarily removed the products from the booth before we could take action. Rumors that Kongsberg Automotive is on the warpath are obviously spread between the exhibitors. Our effort has really paid off! These incidents highlight KA’s teamwork, vigilance, and proactive efforts in defending our technology.
