⚡️ Big news from NES! In collaboration with AquaShip AS / Intership AS, we're upgrading their Grip Explorer live fish carrier with our latest tech. 🚢 🔋 What's happening? We will install a 994 kWh battery system on board, boosting efficiency and slashing emissions. The solution includes the QUEST Energy Storage System, with its smart control systems, ensuring peak performance in all conditions. 💬 “We have delivered this type of containerized energy storage system to a number of offshore vessels before, but this is the first time we are installing it on a live fish carrier. It reflects the aquaculture industry’s increased focus on energy-efficient marine operations as an enabler to reduce both operating costs and emissions,” says Siv Remøy-Vangen, managing director in NES. ⚙️ The upgrade enables the vessel’s operations with advanced features like peak shaving and a spinning reserve. The new systems help regulate and optimize energy usage, ensuring the vessel operates efficiently without wasting power. Additionally, we're upgrading the BlackOut Safety System for unparalleled reliability. Our BOSS is your guardian angel, keeping the vessel safe and operational under any conditions. 🚢 Originally a platform supply vessel, the Grip Explorer was converted to a live fish carrier in 2023. The ship now features advanced water treatment systems to enhance fish welfare, ensuring optimal conditions and minimizing stress during transport. 🤝 We are excited to work with AquaShip / Intership. Together, we aim to support sustainable fish operations and maintain healthy conditions for fish, all while minimizing the environmental footprint.
