It was a pleasure for our #IMBM department to host Inger Mette Staalesen and @Trond Netland Jacobsen from #ConocoPhillips during the Friday Waffle session. They presented an impressive digital twin for both topside and subsea assets, both used for facilitating inspection and maintenance tasks, beside training staff to get familiar with entire facilities. We also tried their VR tool to visit the subsea facility and catch some fishes there 🤣 After that, they had a short visit to the Asset lab to see our AR and digital twin demos.

Al and HI need each other.
Ok so… Here’s where ChatGPT is going to start failing… Is the AI trend a Bubble? In order for (us developers), troubleshoot errors in systems, and get to quick accurate answers, ChatGPT has been an amazing source to all of us… BUT! That’s temporary! One of the main sources of GPT model for code troubleshooting is StackOverflow website. StackOverflow has millions of communications and community’s inputs that ChatGPT feed its data model, and with that, it precisely understand issues on legacy codes, based on any problems you’re having with your own code base. But… look at the StackOverflow usage graph after GPT showed up! Its community has been visiting way less and with that, less inputs and less data to train GPT models. It means that, AI need us BEFORE we need AI, and it will get to a near future, when new codebase and pythons and Java versions will be released, and developers will still rely on gpt to understand its new issues BUT, with no more substantial data coming from Stack Overflow for training, developers won’t have any more reliable resources to lean on. Then… here we go, everyone going back to communities again in the future! This is a "knowledge loop" that we will need to adjust and get use to it, until GPT starts to testing new codebases, finding errors, troubleshooting itself, and firing every developer out there! Interesting times we live in! Agreed? Not? Leave your comment and repost, let’s get more insights from the community as much as we can. #AI #ChatGPT #Developers #StackOverflow #CodingCommunity #AIRevolution #GPTModels #TechTrends #ProgrammingLife #FutureOfAI #MachineLearning #CodeTroubleshooting #TechBubble #AIInsights #CodingChallenges #TechCommunity #KnowledgeLoop #AIFuture

Agree...Solutions come when people meet!
Education Point of Contact at UiS for ECIU I Scout leader I Senior adviser at UiS department of Academic Affairs
Solutions come when people meet!👋 It is easier to discuss, find out about misunderstandings, to disagree and find solutions when people meet face to face. This week I’ve been attending the first fysical meeting for concerning education for the two ECIU groups Portfolio and Education Point of contacts at our ECIU university alliance partner Università di Trento’s campus in beautiful Trento Italy. We have talked about ✅How to get a more coherent and sustainable portfolio? And what does that actually mean? ✅ECIU is growing from a start up to a scale up, and how do we make sure the information reaches the ones who need it? ✅The proposal for education strategy ✅Are the local institutions ready for the strategy? ✅And much more! Thank you for hosting us Università di Trento and taken so good care of us 🙏 #ECIU #uis #fantasticoppertunities

The Asset Lab at UiS was lucky to host Audun Lie Indergaard and Abodi Alani from #SopraSteria. Audun provided a very interesting guest lecture on OT architecture as part of the #IAM640 course "Agent Simulation and Digital Twins". Thanks also go to Shadi Ibrahim for the great chocolate cake :) https://lnkd.in/dufRVf2s
