Vow Green Metals’ strategy is to be a leading producer of biocarbon and other carbon neutral products that enables the green transition in hard-to-abate industries. We are on a mission to accelerate the world’s transition to renewable materials by offering green alternatives to replace fossil reduction agents in the metallurgical industry. The core of our business is to build, own and operate biocarbon production plants using state-of-the-art pyrolysis technology to turn biomass and biomass waste-streams into our core product, biocarbon. Our biocarbon production process also creates other valuable products like bio-oil and bioenergy. With our standardized solutions, unique access to proprietary technology, and a growing global pipeline of projects, we are upholding our first mover position in a growing market where speed and scale will be determining factors. Vow Green Metals is building a new biocarbon industry on the shoulders of its main owner and technology partner, Vow ASA, which provides access to competence and capabilities acquired through decades of industrial innovation.

Who doesn’t like a trip to Italy?🍋 Last week we attended the European Coke and Ironmaking Conference in Bardolino. Treforedlingsforum 2024: Vow Green Metals I Europa brukes det årlig 56 millioner tonn kull i metallindustrien som reduksjonsmiddel, som er en stor kilde til fossilt CO2 utslipp. Mye av dette kan erstattes av klimanøytral biokarbon. Vow Green Metals er en pioneer innen biokarbon, og har kommet langt i sitt arbeid mot fullskala produksjon. Pilotlinjen på Follum stod klart i 2023, og her skal man også starte opp en 20 000 tonns fabrikk. Nylig har de annonsert planer for fullskalaanlegg ved Viken Park (Fredrikstad) og Eiktyr Industripark (Orkanger). Administrerende direktør Cecilie Jonassen fra Vow Green Metals bidrar på Treforedlingsforum med statusoppdatering på disse initiativene. Cecilie har lang erfaring fra treforedling, med blant annet 15 år i Norske Skog-fabrikker. Hun har vært i Vow Green Metals siden 2021, og har god innsikt i bransjen. Dette blir spennende! Recently we had the pleasure of welcoming our partners Eksfin - Export Finance Norway and DNB for a site visit at Hønefoss, where we proudly could present the progress at our large-scale production facility, our new lab facility, and of course large amounts of freshly made biocarbon from our early production line. In July, Vow Green Metals signed a MNOK 344 green loan debt facility with DNB, including a 50 percent loan guarantee from Eksfin. A great step towards building a new green industry! #greenindustry #biocarbon
