A whirlwind of a week! Board Meeting in Zirq Solutions at Letbek A/S in Poznan, where we visited our new production site and met all employees. Here we produce designer furniture and products for a broad range of brands, such as Fritz Hansen, Wehlers, and Milford - products from the two latter even with recycled plastics from medical devices. Then to Novo Nordisk great #Favrholm outside Copenhagen. Last year, Danish key industrial companies joined forces to combat industrial plastic waste and increase plastic recycling, in the partnership Circular Industrial Plastic (CIP). Now we are halfway through the project - and we all met to evaluate and set the direction into the final year of the project. Personally I had the privilege to present various "business cases for circularity", based on experiences within The NG Group together with a wide range of visionary business partners the past decade. And not least, a great day at Zirq Solutions' Stenlille-site where recycling of Medical devices are really speeding up. Our vision is to #PioneerCircularity - and no place is this more true than in Stenlille! Probably need a weekend (in the snow) to digest this. Behind the Headlines. Circularity is physical. It's hard work. It can be dangerous. It's often about movement of materials - in volumes - often involving heavy machinery and large quantities. HSE. Nothing pains me more as a manager than when we have personell injuries. Every day we focus on HSE. We train. We try to protect and prevent in every way. Today is the annual HSE-Day in Zirq Solutions & NG Group. A day where we are setting extra focus on HSE. On the S in HSE. Safety. But also the H - Health. Psychological well-being at work is as important as physical safety. We strive for an inclusive non-discriminating and diverse work environment. Because it is right. It is good for people. And it is good for business. Being pioneers of circularity demands a lot. It is a privelage to often showcase the great results of ground-breaking zirqular solutions. But without a solid foundation, it is impossible to be circular at scale. And scale is what is required of us. So today I am particularly thankfull towards my 200+ Zirq'ers in Poland, Denmark and Norway that are training and taking extra measures in protecting themselves - and the people around them. HSE is the most important building block in a solid foundation. It's a demanding leadership area - but thanks to great colleagues we are developing well. Because we NEVER compromise on safety!
