AmCham Nepal at the India Ideas Summit 2024: Forging New Pathways for US -Nepal business partnership. AmCham Nepal is honored to have participated in the India Ideas Summit 2024, organized by the U.S.-India Business Council (USIBC) in New Delhi. The dynamic dialogues and collaborations with government leaders, bureaucrats, and business executives reflected the robust $200 billion economic ties between the U.S. and India, covering multiple sectors. The summit was a testament to how shared aspirations and partnerships can drive global progress, with collaboration at the core of this transformation. It was inspiring to witness these partnerships shape a positive future, hearing from governors, secretaries, and key business leaders from both nations. We were proud to share the success stories of the U.S.-Nepal business community with distinguished attendees and were pleased to see growing interest in the U.S.-Nepal economic relationship. Our conversation with Vice chair Nasdaq Mr. Edward Knight was really important and impactful. He was very happy that AmCham Nepal was at the event. This platform adds tremendous value to AmCham Nepal’s mission to showcase Nepal as a land of opportunities and possibilities. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Amb. Atul Keshap, President of USIBC, for inviting AmCham Nepal to be part of this prestigious event. Strengthening Agriculture in Nepal through Strategic Collaboration with FAO: We are excited to share our recent meeting with the Food & Agricultural Organization of the United Nations (FAO), focusing on unlocking the immense potential of Nepal's agriculture sector. By encouraging private sector-led field trials, we aim to foster technological innovation and advance research and development, inspired by successful US models and investments. To realize this vision, robust public-private partnerships and regulatory framework reforms are essential. These will pave the way for foreign investments to introduce cutting-edge technology and research practices, ultimately promoting better agricultural outcomes in Nepal. We're thrilled to announce that we have agreed on initial steps for collaboration with FAO to build a sustainable agricultural model that can reduce Nepal's dependency on food imports and export Nepal's organic product into the global market. AmCham Nepal recognizes the commitment of the US government to help create an enabling for FDI in Nepal. We are delighted to see the same echo in Deputy Secretary of State for Management and Resources, Richard Verma's recent visit to Nepal. In his discussions with key dignitaries, we were particularly proud to see him engage with some of Nepal's leading women entrepreneurs. Among these trailblazers was Ms.Sneh Rajbhandari, Head of PACS for Coca-Cola Beverages Nepal and the esteemed Treasurer of AmCham Nepal.
