Well done, South Australia Police—a brilliant example of what can be accomplished when an organisation uses trusted technology to uncover and link intelligence, boosting frontline efficiency and addressing the increasing violence linked to retail crime to make our communities safer. This is why I’m proud to work at Auror and to be able to make a positive impact every day! 🌏 #bepartofthenetwork #trustedtechnology #makeourcommunitiessafe https://lnkd.in/g3dp5W4D

No one deserves to feel unsafe in their place of work. Too often our frontline workers are on the receiving end of violent and threatening behaviour. These are our children working their first job, or our grandparents in their last job, and everyone in between. The effects of retail crime don’t stop there - it’s felt by our communities as well. It’s the reason for the bollards outside your local shops. It’s the reason stores are draped in shutters and bars. It’s also the reason that vibrancy has been stripped from our iconic main streets over time, like Queen St here in Auckland. We cannot accept this as the path we take, and instead must recognise the issue impacting people and communities, and work together to stop it. I shared more of my thoughts on this in today’s NZ Herald (print and online - link in comments).

A repeat fraudster, who was placing tampered gift cards on shelves, has been arrested and faces felony charges thanks to great collaboration and Auror Vehicle of Interest (VOI) notifications. Loss prevention (LP) leaders of an Auror partner noticed a VOI was active in one area, and then active again later in the day at one of their stores about 10 miles away. LP partners called local police, who arrived to see the offender putting tampered gift cards on the retailer's shelves. Law enforcement intervened and arrested the person. They admitted to fraud and are facing first degree felony charges. Outcome overview: ✅ Region: United States ✅ Outcome: Repeat fraudster arrested and facing first degree felony charges ✅ Impact: Linked to $6k in loss ✅ Key solution: Auror Intel, LPR #retailcrime #ORC

How do you defeat organized retail crime? By building your own sophisticated network between stores, law enforcement, and other retailers affected by the same repeat offenders and crime groups. Auror’s new Collaborate feature proactively identifies and suggests opportunities to partner and share data based on a shared person of interest (POI). In other words, those affected by the same people can share data to connect the dots on investigations, faster. Collaborate is just one of many 2025 LP innovations Terry Sullivan, LPC and Mike Lamb, former VP of AP at Kroger, Walmart, and The Home Depot, discuss in the latest episode of The Intel. January temperatures in NYC are nothing when the Javits Center is buzzing like it was last week. At the National Retail Federation Big Show, we joined 39K attendees and made connections with retailers from around the globe. It was filled with meaningful conversations about how Auror can help reduce loss and violence in their stores and create safer communities. Perfect start to 2025! 🗓️ #lp #retail #retailcrime

Last week, we shared that a prolific repeat offender had been arrested thanks to cross-org collaboration among several US retailers and law enforcement. The person was responsible for over $79k in loss reported on Auror's platform, was connected to eight accomplices, and showed aggressive and physically abusive behavior. Intel and evidence responsibly shared by the impacted retailers was fundamental to helping local law enforcement successfully issue the warrant that led to this person's arrest. Here's what a detective from Tukwila PD (WA) had to say about Auror's impact while investigating and solving the case: #retailcrime #ORC
