Investigations with external collaborators increased by 60% in 2024. Unfortunately, retail investigators often reach out on unsecured networks like email and WhatsApp. Collaborate brings these conversations into Auror’s secure Investigate platform, helping investigators identify collaboration opportunities, responsibly share case details, and, if appropriate, launch joint investigations. “Forget emailing or texting case details — Collaborate lets retailers instantly and securely connect on shared offenders, building stronger cases faster.” -Bobby Haskins, SVP of Customer at Auror Read more about how Collaborate works for retail investigations: https://lnkd.in/g52MJbg6 #retail #retailcrime #lossprevention

We implemented our 4.5 day weeks at 100% pay in 2022 to give our people a head start on their weekends and to do whatever gives them joy. Three years on, it's still going strong! What Aurors do on their Friday afternoons off varies from training for triathlons 🏃♀️, to spending more time with their kids 🧒, to volunteering 🐶. Here's what three Aurors have to say about Shorter Work Weeks and how they use the time: https://lnkd.in/grdKswDe

Two repeat offenders impacting an Auror retail partner have been identified through collaboration and effective event reporting. The retailer's team collaborated with local law enforcement to detain the offenders, identify them, and recover stolen items. By identifying the offenders, the retailer was able to link them to 16 events reported in Auror's platform worth over $15K. They were also able to connect these offenders with a vehicle, providing that retailer and others in its network another way to prevent further harm and loss. This outcome shows the power of understanding who's causing the most harm in stores 👏 Outcome overview: Region: United States Outcome: Two repeat offenders identified Impact: Linked to a total of $15K+ in loss Key solution: Auror Intel, Connect the Dots #retailcrime #ORC

Another standout Retail Risk for Team Auror ✨ A key highlight was hearing from Australian Privacy Commissioner Carly Kind on Facial Recognition Tech (FRT) and its evolving role in retail security. Kind clarified that FRT isn’t illegal in Australia, but its use must be necessary, proportionate, and transparent. The Office of the Australian Information Commissioner plans to work directly with retailers to develop clearer guidelines, balancing security and privacy while ensuring businesses can confidently navigate compliance. With key legal decisions on the horizon, FRT is set to be 2025’s hot topic. Beyond the insights, the best part of the day was the conversations—connecting with our customers and meeting new retailers, all committed to safer stores and communities. A few key themes kept coming up: ✅ Bringing retailers into national police operations—unlocking collaboration that drives real impact. ✅ Smarter ways of working—building better data on repeat offenders and refining efficient SOPs to tackle retail crime. ✅ Earning efficiency with new tools like Voice Reporting—making incident reporting faster and easier than ever. And as for the Fraud Awards… did Auror take home any wins? That’s a story for another post (spoiler: yes!). The day may have started off shaky after downing an ill-advised Szechuan chilli 🌶️ at dinner (thanks for the encouragement, Phil Thomson) but it ended with a full heart—seeing real impact, sharing passion with customers, and doing it all alongside an incredible team. (For those keeping track: Brad Warburton = best dressed. No contest.)

💥 Auror MOONSHOT: Reduce violent retail crime by 50% in the next 5 years. Yesterday was one of the best days I’ve had at Auror. Connect UK was a powerful reminder of why we do what we do. Huge thanks to our 100+ guests for your energy, enthusiasm & feedback. Yesterday we: 🔹 Launched our Moonshot 🔹 Showcased our latest technology – "innovate fast & learn" in the words of John Peters (What a fantastic story & human). 🔹 Celebrated our community – because it takes a network to defeat a network. I'm incredibly proud of the Auror team, our retail and police partners, and the impact we’re driving together. This is more than technology - it’s about people, transformation and a relentless shared commitment to creating a safer community. 🚀 Sock cannon...here we GO!!
