As part of our ongoing commitment to investing in Cook Strait services, we’re delighted to announce that Stena Livia will be sailing in the Bluebridge fleet from August this year. Currently operating between Germany and Latvia, Stena Livia is a sister ship to our vessel, Connemara and will provide a 10% increase in vehicle capacity. The ship will dry dock in Europe before setting sail to New Zealand and will replace the Strait Feronia towards the end of the year. StraitNZ Bluebridge has delivered services across the critical Cook Strait link since 1992, and securing a ship of the calibre of Stena Livia will further enhance the experience for our customers in the years to come. Thanks for all the effort from the teams at Stena Line and Stena RoRo for making this happen. We look forward to welcoming Stena Livia to Aotearoa New Zealand.

The Pōhutukawa Lounge onboard Connemara is coming together beautifully. New windows have been installed, with carpet and seating currently being fitted; we're not far off completion. We're excited for this new offering to be available to our customers ahead of the summer season, creating more capacity across Cook Strait.

We’ve been working on something new and exciting onboard Connemara! Our passengers will experience the next level of comfort with our new, all-inclusive Pōhutukawa Lounge. This new offering is available for our passengers to book now, for their travels from 1 December. The lounge is currently under construction and progressing well with Aoraki Construction Ltd. We can’t wait to share more once the Pōhutukawa Lounge is open and operational. All images shown are indicative and for illustration purposes only.

Exciting things are underway onboard Connemara!
The Aoraki team never expected we'd be setting sail for work, ahoy Captain! However, here we are kicking off with demolition on the Bluebridge Cook Strait Ferries' MV Connemara. Demolition is never glamorous but at least the team can pop out for ocean views and bit of dolphin spotting on their breaks!

The Connemara 🚢 has recently received some upgrades, including these stunning New Zealand scenic murals. The murals provide a bright and warm welcome to our passengers as they make their way through our passenger areas. In addition to these murals, new seating has been installed in various areas around the vessel, enhancing the comfort and experience with more new seating to follow later this year.
