Sport Waikato recently revamped their operations in the local community and needed to update their headquarters to match their new approach. Drawing inspiration from their collaborative work and focus on activity, we designed a new layout and finishes palette. Within the expansive open office, we established zones for concentration, teamwork, and sharing. By organising teams and tenants into efficient neighbourhoods, we reclaimed space for a central area featuring booths, lounges, hot desks, project spaces, and resource areas. A big shout-out to Sport Waikato as they continue their mission to influence, impact, and lead meaningful change, inspiring greater activity in our communities. Big thanks also to the Designwell team for their hard work on this project – lead by Steve Mills. Lodge Real Estate is an iconic Hamilton business and has supported the city as the bridge between people and place for over 50 years. In parallel with a brand refresh by Daymark, we helped the teams at Lodge with a flagship headquarters for divisions across Residential, Commercial and Property Management. The client vision was to create a beautiful, brand-centric space where all team members could authentically connect, collaborate and elevate their daily work. The ground floor greets agents, buyers and vendors with an informal, humming social space that sets the tone for hospitality and creates a platform for relationships to be built. The auction space is cleverly connected to the social space and the use of large format curtains allow overflow for larger events. Acoustic quality was strategically layered through all meeting spaces and work neighborhoods, and convenient breakout lounges and furniture provide plenty of moments for rest and connection. The end result is a workspace that truly embodies the brand's new tagline "You Belong Here" and is a daily reminder to all that the Lodge team and clients are truly valued and supported by an industry leader. Dynamo6 is an independent and fresh thinking technology company based in Kirikiriroa, Hamilton. As a brand they embody creativity, innovation and being bold. We worked with Dynamo6 co-founder, Penny Matich, on their new HQ in the Made of Hamilton East precinct. It is as bold as they come with striking, vivid colour pops which bring energy and vibrancy to their spaces, and striking graphics that layer in brand pops and an epic owl robot mural (painted by a D6 team member!) that cleverly conceals service doors beyond. A neon threshold guards the entry to the main staff social space, where sweeping views over the Waikato Awa and Pirongia Maunga beyond are enjoyed. The use of strand board, drapes and planting help soften the vivid scheme and bring a calm setting to the main work-desk areas. Thanks to Stark Property for project management and construction and the Dynamo6 leadership Igor Matich for being courageous with your design brief. #commercialinteriors #workplacedesign

Known for their sophisticated websites, N4 Studio® approached us for a destination worthy office design that functioned flawlessly and reflected their minimalist approach to design. Located along the edge of the Waikato river path the new office is hunkered down in the bustling precinct of Made in Hamilton East. Our interior experience focuses on a generous front of house landing kitchen connected to handy meeting and focus spaces to keep the main work stations distraction-free. Materiality celebrates the 1960’s base build construction and layers on a palette of fluted oak and white tile to bring calm and refinement to the spaces. #commercialinteriors #workplacedesign

Hamilton's bustling mixed-use marketplace, Made of Hamilton East, proudly showcases the talent from our Waikato food-basket, contributing to the vibrancy of the Hamilton East community. We had the pleasure of collaborating with over 25 operators, assisting them in crafting their unique spaces within the broader Made story and experience. The precinct spans three levels, inviting visitors to discover surprises around every corner. From local favourites like Found Store and Volare to newcomers Amphora Wine Bar and Little Lato Gelato, the diverse tenants add to the market's dynamic atmosphere. The comprehensive master planning and architecture were skilfully executed by our friends at Edwards White Architects Ltd with visionary leadership and creative direction and finishing touches provided by Matt Stark & Jaimee Stark from Stark Property. One of Made's notable achievements is the platform it has provided for emerging makers, creatives, and retailers. They now have an exceptional stage to connect with both the local community and the emerging Waikato tourism market.

Te Kete Aronui Rototuna Library, is the flagship building in Rototuna Village, Kirikiriroa. Along with Chow:Hill Architects and AECOM we were part of a collaborative design team delivering Hamilton's first purpose-built library and community hub. As well as traditional library offerings, the space has a range of bookable meeting rooms, an Auaha Makerspace, and an on-site café called Chapter One. Te Kete Aronui refers to one of the three baskets of knowledge collected by Taawhaki in the Maaori legend. The name reflects the role of the library as a community space for learning and knowledge. As specialists across brand and interiors, we led the cultural engagement, identity design and custom interior elements such as the bespoke furniture and shelving, flooring pattern design, cafe design and interior finishes. As Hamilton locals we're so proud to see this space come to life and be enjoyed by the whole community. We were also very proud to be part of the Team who took home the Veros Best Team Award at the Property Council NZ People Awards last night – together with Chow:Hill Architects, Acid, AECOM, Brodie Hailwood, Changing Places New Zealand, Hamilton City CouncilLivingstone Building NZ, Ngaati Wairere, Schicks and Te Haa o te Whenua o Kirikiriroa.
