  • In the spirit of giving and sharing during the holy month of Ramadan, our team in Malaysia today hosted a special Iftar (Break Fast) session with the children of Pertubuhan Nur Kasih, a community center for the disadvantaged. We shared some of our products, held an educational talk focused on Halal & Nutrition and organized a fun sandwich-making session.     Congratulations to Senior Research Scientist, Dr Christina Coker our MASSEY UNIVERSITY WOMAN IN FOOD SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY in 2025. 💜💜💜 Christina Coker With over 40 years experience in the food industry Dr Coker, who earned her PhD in food technology from Massey University in 2003 while raising a family and working for Fonterra, has had a distinguished career spanning the lab bench to the factory floor. She led Fonterra’s Dairy Food Design Research Platform, which brought together a multidisciplinary team of researchers from New Zealand and around the globe. Her pioneering work has led to the development of innovative products such as UHT creams, cream cheese, mozzarella, powders and beverages. Dr Coker’s research also focuses on educating the next generation of food engineers and scientists. Through her work, she has mentored and trained over 40 postgraduate students, with her legacy continuing to impact the industry. Now semi-retired, Dr Coker is focused on advancing mozzarella science and contributing to artificial intelligence initiatives in food science.     Today we’re sharing some changes to our management team as a next step in implementing our strategy.    Richard Allen will lead Fonterra’s global Ingredients business as President – Global Ingredients, with his remit expanding to include the Co-op's Ingredients businesses in Greater China and Middle East Africa.   Teh-han Chow will lead Fonterra’s global Foodservice business as President – Global Foodservice with his remit expanding to include the Co-op's Foodservice businesses in South East Asia, Middle East Africa and other markets. In addition to this, Teh-han will continue as the CEO for Greater China.    With the South East Asia and Middle East Africa Foodservice teams now transitioning to Mr Chow, René Dedoncker’s title will change from Managing Director Global Markets Consumer and Foodservice to Managing Director Global Markets Consumer as he leads those businesses in scope for divestment.   “This is an exciting time for the Co-op as we shift to the front foot and drive greater value creation through our high-performing Foodservice and Ingredients businesses.
