Yesterday, I spoke at the @Bay of Plenty's Youth Development Trust on behalf of Geeves Scaffolding. The BOPYDT exists to improve the lives of young people in the Tauranga area by delivering inspiring programmes built on their values of #Manaakitanga #Manawaroa #Whakaute #Whakapono and #Takohanga. A very big heartfelt thank you to the Youth Development Trust, and to Awhina Savage in particular. The work you and your team do is life-changing, and I hope that everyone there got something form the presentation. #Teamwork #Safety #Service

About us
Geeves Scaffolding has a wide range of experience in providing scaffolding and propping for clients in Wellington, Christchurch, Timaru Dunedin and Auckland. We work mainly in the commercial construction sector but have experience in a wide range of industrial applications such as dairy, rail and petrochemical. These are all high safety environments and our team is well trained and supervised to ensure we carry out our works to best practice. In Wellington Geeves Scaffolding has worked on many major high rise projects such as One Market Lane, The Ministry of Health Building, Victoria University and the MSD headquarters. The Bob Scott retirement village is a major development with full scaffolding and propping supplied. In Christchurch we work on a variety of projects including the recent airport expansion, housing, residential apartments, the Christchurch Club, the Music Centre and the Rangiora retirement village. In Timaru we provide scaffolding services to Clandeboye Dairy Factory, commercial buildings in the town centre and housing projects. We work as far afield as Dunedin, Ashburton and Hamner. Geeves Scaffolding has developed expertise in shrink wrapped scaffolds and large free-spanning temporary roofs. These systems provide protection from weather as well as containment of debris such as asbestos.

Last week, Vadim Spice delivered a Toolbox for our client at the Northern Quarter on the topic of hierarchy of controls for falling objects. A big thank you to Watts & Hughes Construction for the opportunity to present. We hope that the content was valuable and entertaining for all who attended. It is really cool to partner together to improve the safety culture, especially on large construction sites like the Northern Quarter. #Teamwork #Safety #Service

https://lnkd.in/gBBPRAp8 Geeves Scaffolding has partnered with the Huria Trust. The Trust exists to provide Kaupapa Māori health & social services, education and training. The Trust has provided some great pathways for their young men and women to start work with us at Geeves Scaffolding. The below video shows interviews with three of our new intakes after four weeks of work. It is humbling to see the impact that employers can have on young men in construction when given the right role models, guidance and support networks. We would definitely recommend the Huria Trust to other employers. #Teamwork #Safety #Service #SupportLocal

This morning, Vadim Spice delivered a Toolbox for our client at 90 Devonport Road in Tauranga Moana on the topic of hierarchy of controls for falling objects. A big thank you to LT McGuinness Ltd. for the opportunity to present. The Toolbox was exceptionally well attended and catered (even Tāwhirimātea was on good form!) A special shout out to Chris Heays and the safety team for organizing this. It was much appreciated. We are definitely keen to do more in future with you guys. #Teamwork #Safety #Service

This morning, our crew at the Takitimu North Link carried out a rescue demonstration as part of the Toolbox for our client on site. The rescue was run by Vadim Spice and was carried out by the crew on site who made short work of rescuing their team-mate after "falling" into his harness. Congratulations to the crew for a slick presentation, and a big thank you to Fulton Hogan and HEB Construction for the opportunity to present at your Toolbox. It is a privilege to partner with you in your pursuit of health and safety excellence. #Teamwork #Safety #Service

MHAW 💚 Our week was full of simple gestures to remind our staff they are supported and cared for - not only during mental health awareness week but EVERY week! Gratitude was our toolbox focus, reminding each other to look for the little things each day that we can be grateful for... The importance of focusing on breath work & the positive impact of doing something as simple as taking our shoes off and putting our feet in the sand or on the grass 💚 My boys became big kids when the individual packets of lollies we made up were given out 😂 To end the week we once again enjoyed a beautiful shared meal - "Our Curry Night" seems to be a yearly ritual now and always goes down a treat ... LOVE my boys 💚 And of course my Gurl 🩷 Tahmia Gerrard #mentalhealthawareness #GeevesScaffolding #inthistogether

Since coming to the Bay of Plenty last year, the team at Geeves Scaffolding has grown a high performing team with a culture to be proud of. To illustrate the growth that our branch has undergone, I have compiled some of the photos from our monthly Branch Meetings from March - September (August is missing). These meetings used to take place at my house before we moved into our new office at 100 Spring Street in the Tauranga CBD. What we have achieved so far is the direct result of the hard work of a dedicated team whom I would like to take this opportunity to publicly thank. If you are a Geeves employee who is reading this, please know that you are immensely valued on both a personal and professional level. #Teamwork #Safety #Service

The Rotorua Museum is one of Aotearoa's iconic heritage buildings. It is a project that we are proud to be a part of. Geeves Scaffolding has had a base in the Bay of Plenty for almost two years now, and we are privileged to be working on some of the region's (and country's) most important projects, thanks to Watts & Hughes Construction. The scaffolding on the Museum is immense, complex, and the result of a massive team effort. To all those involved, be proud of what you have achieved on Stage 1. #Teamwork #Safety #Service

Recently, we visited the Mason Clinic project and hosted a toolbox talk with Southbase Construction. The session focused on mitigating risks associated with dropped objects—a significant hazard that can lead to serious injuries or fatalities for both workers and the public. With nearly 200 attendees, our interactive, scaffold-oriented presentation was a success. Collaborations like these highlight our commitment to safety and proactive risk management across all our projects
