About us
Marley and Aliaxis are passionate about creating sustainable innovative solutions for water and energy. We provide people around the world with advanced plastic piping systems, leading the industry in a way that anticipates the rapidly evolving needs of our times. Marley has been part of the Aliaxis group for 15 years and NZ homes for 60 years. Providing spouting, downpipes, building, plumbing and electrical solutions for kiwis since 1959. With local manufacturing sites employing local people, the vast majority of the products we sell are proudly New Zealand made. We are committed to keeping New Zealand green. Marley operates a uPVC recycling program as part of our ISO 14001 environmental management system and is Best Environmental Practice certified for its entire manufactured range of uPVC systems. This allows designers to achieve GreenStar credits when specifying Marley uPVC systems in commercial buildings, and installers / end users to recycle their uPVC products.

We understand the importance of reducing our environmental impact as much as we can, and that’s why we’ve ramped up our focus on recycling. We recycled over 702,000kgs of plastic in 2023, but we’re not stopping there. We’ve got partnerships with lots of different Kiwi businesses to ensure we’re reducing and reusing plastic waste. Marley had the honour of sponsoring the Tradeswoman of the Year Award at the NAWIC Awards held in Wellington last week. This event celebrated the remarkable contributions of women in trades, a sector where their presence is historically underrepresented but increasingly vital. Supporting women in trades is more than just recognising individual achievements – it’s about fostering a more inclusive and innovative industry. In New Zealand, initiatives like those led by NAWIC and other organisations are crucial in breaking down the barriers for women in trades. These initiatives focus on creating positive, supportive work environments, offering flexible working arrangements, and building partnerships with educational providers to ensue women have the opportunities and resources they need to succeed. Congratulations to Diez Beazley, the winner of the Tradeswoman of the Year Award who was unfortunately not there on the night to receive her award. Congratulations also to Niamh Barraud who achieved Highly Commended (pictured) and Phoebe Coers with Special Merit. Your hard work and dedication has inspired us all – keep up the great work 🏆 #Marley #NAWICAwards #TradeswomanoftheYear #WomeninTrades #NewZealand

Our sister company, RX Plastics Ltd, recently collaborated with the The University of Auckland's Faculty of Engineering Department. Undergraduate students developed circuits for RXP tanks, using light to transmit and receive tank level data. They showcased these innovative designs to Aliaxis NZ, where they answered questions about how they might progress their design for full-scale prototypes. As part of Aliaxis it is our mission to bring solutions to the world’s water challenges. We believe that the way to create long-lasting change is through the education of our future generations. We were proud to have the opportunity to work with the University of Auckland. #Marley #RXP #Aliaxis #Innovation #Engineering #WaterSolutions #Collaboration #Infared #Electronics #UniversityOfAuckland #NewZealand

It’s NZ Music Month and it’s been great to discover the incredible talents of emerging Kiwi artists. At Marley, our commitment to sustainability resonates deeply alongside our passion for great music. We’re proud to partner with Holiday Records and Stebbing Records, two of New Zealand’s top vinyl disc manufacturers. Through this collaboration, we are able to create a circular process by recycling their vinyl offcuts and repurposing them back into our products. Sustainability is at the heart of what we do, and we love finding innovative ways to keep New Zealand green. #Marley #HolidayRecords #StebbingRecords #Vinyl #NZMusicMonth #Music #Sustainability #Recycling

We’re very pleased that our ongoing partnership with WM New Zealand is paving the way for sustainability within the plastics industry in New Zealand. We have funding of $4.464m from the Ministry for Environment’s Plastics Innovation Fund to invest in the recycling of uPVC and HDPE building and construction waste. This initiative is made possible with WM New Zealand as our recycling partner. We have also been busy finding new products that we can recycle, with help from our friends at Fulton Hogan and WM New Zealand, and we’re pleased to announce that road markers are now able be recycled in New Zealand. We continue to look for ways to create a more sustainable future for Kiwis. #Marley #MarleyNewZealand #WMNewZealand #Recycling #Sustainability #NewZealand

We had a fantastic night at the 2024 NZ Plumbing Awards on Friday night at the Takina Convention Centre in Wellington. The Marley team were honoured to win the Master Plumbers Business Partner of the Year award, recognised for our work in supporting the plumbing industry and in particular, our leadership in Sustainability. Thanks to Master Plumbers, Gasfitters & Drainlayers NZ Inc. and our friends at Plumbing World for sponsoring the evening and to Jesse Mulligan for being an exceptional MC! Here’s a photo from the night of a very happy Scott Townsend (GM Marketing, Aliaxis New Zealand) and Sean Waddell (GM Sales, Marley New Zealand) with the award. We want to extend a huge congratulations to all those nominated and of course to all the award winners! #Marley #MasterPlumbers #PlumbingWorld #NZPlumbingAwards2024

Some say that sustainability is doing small things every day to make a difference and at Marley, that is our approach Thanks to online metering put in place by Energy NZ, we can now track our electricity usage 24/7 throughout all of our plants in New Zealand This means we can look for opportunities to reduce our electricity usage! Every 1% of electricity we save at our plants is the equivalent of 20 homes going off-grid!
