After years of weekly requests - and even a petition - we're proud to announce the return of Pizza Hut's iconic all-you-can-eat buffet for one week only to celebrate its 50th birthday in Aotearoa. The nostalgic Hut will bring back the pizza buffet complete with pizza, salad bar and free-flowing soft drinks, as well as the famous dessert bar, with soft-serve ice cream, raspberry jelly, chocolate mousse, hot fudge sauce and a variety of toppings. Tickets to the event sold out within an hour, but keep your eyes peeled for a potential second drop. Massive thank you to our incredible clients at Pizza Hut for trusting our vision.

New work alert from Special PR Australia. Did you hear about the restaurant on the moon? Great food, no atmosphere… The latest Uber Reserve campaign featuring British comedian Jack Whitehall shows why it pays to be prepared and schedule an Uber Reserve ride whenever you need to escape a sticky situation. And with Jack’s recent unceremonious shading by England’s future king for his dad joke prowess, no-one knows better that sometimes you need to reserve a ride when a joke falls flat. In the lead up to Fathers Day, we encouraged Uber riders across Australia to swap a good old-fashioned Dad Joke for a free Uber reserved ride. The entries rolled in as the news rolled out about this cheeky collab including Jack chatting to Aussie icon Dad Karl Stefanovic with some cringeworthy Dad Joke inspiration. Special Australia

We're proud to roll out a new music programme for Tiger called 'Venue Veterans'. An initiative that sees iconic New Zealand musicians return to the venue that ignited their passion and launched their careers. And this couldn't come quickly enough with the live music scene in New Zealand facing an uncertain future, with mass closures of iconic venues over the last few years. David Dallas is set to kick things off at Galatos on Thursday September 26. We hope to see you there - visit this link for more information: https://lnkd.in/gRMnSp4w Strictly R18.

New work from Kiwibank... Last week we helped the Kiwibank economists launch their annual regional report, which is tentatively optimistic about our economic recovery. Every single region in New Zealand (except for our friends in Wellington) has increased their economic score. So, although it might not feel like it, we could be starting to turn a corner... This news rolled out across all major publications and platforms last week. Watch the TVNZ clip on the announcement below: https://lnkd.in/gyusm97s

🚨 We're looking for a Head of Activation in our Auckland office. This is the magic maker - someone who can turn creative madness into reality.... 👉 How do you turn a 7.5 tonne train into a KFC restaurant? 👉 How do you create a 4 metre high plastic pile of poo for Better Packaging Co.? 👉 How do you create a Michelin star quality restaurant in the middle of nowhere for Tourism New Zealand? 👉 How do you orchestrate luxury activations for Jaguar Land Rover New Zealand? This role is a mix of producer, creative and experiential mastermind. We're not after an event manager - we're after someone who knows how to make the impossible possible, and can work with our production partners to get these ideas out into the world. Could this be you, or anyone you know? Drop our Managing Director a confidential email: kelly.grindle@specialgroup.co.nz

We're thrilled with this one! ❤️ New Zealand has always been too far away to have its renowned restaurants reviewed by the Michelin Guide, so the country has taken matters into its own hands.    After years of having its world-class restaurants snubbed due to their far-flung location, Tourism New Zealand has worked with Kiwi chef Ben Bayly to create ‘the restaurant with the most stars’ and a campaign to put New Zealand’s year-round offering on show via our stargazing and cuisine.    And they’re so confident with the quality of New Zealand cuisine, they invited 50 of the world’s most discerning tastemakers to put it to the test – including Masterchef judge Sofia Levin, associate director of Food & Wine USA Ashley Day, and major food influencers across Asia.   A huge congratulations to our clients Tourism New Zealand for telling this story with such authenticity on the world stage!       Tourism New Zealand has launched a new campaign shining a light on Aotearoa New Zealand’s unique stargazing experiences and world class cuisine to entice potential visitors year-round. The activity supports TNZ’s new strategy to grow year-round tourism and encourage off-peak visitation. Underneath a billion stars at Kura Tawhiti, the foothills of the Southern Alps, the campaign content features a pop-up restaurant called Pou-o-Kai where media, tastemakers and social media advocates from TNZ’s key markets gathered to experience some of New Zealand’s best cuisine, in a friendly nod to Michelin since New Zealand doesn't have a Guide. The activity includes stargazing and cuisine experiences from across the country as well as a comprehensive suite of trade training resources focused on growing off-peak visitation for travel agents, and content on TNZ’s social media and newzealand.com which potential travellers use to plan their trip. Find out more: https://lnkd.in/gdaMVGyS A big thanks to ChristchurchNZ, Te Ngāi Tūāhuriri and Ben Bayly!

New work from Kiwibank... One of the most expensive decisions a woman can make in her career is having a child. Kiwibank wants to change that and has announced enhancements to its parental leave benefits, to support their people through one of the most pivotal times in their lives. In addition to the existing 26 weeks of full-pay primary carer leave, the new Kiwibank Parenthood Package features a suite of benefits, available from day one at Kiwibank, including six weeks baby bonus leave for both parents, reduced hours at full pay for four weeks when returning to work, and enhanced KiwiSaver contributions. To help shine a spotlight on the issue we created The Penalty Talk - a series of digital content featuring leading voices that unveil the hidden costs of parenthood and the transformational steps needed to address them. A huge thank you to our host Miriama Kamo and our panellists: Vanessa Sorenson from Microsoft, Tania Domett from Project Gender, Stephanie Pow from Crayon, Emma Mclean from Works for Everyone, Christian Newman from Love Makes A Family, and Kiwibank Chief Executive Steve Jurkovich Watch #ThePenaltyTalk online, keep your eyes out for the PR discussion, and head to the Kiwibank website to learn more about the Parenthood Package 👉 https://lnkd.in/gzHY2VjT
