🌊 Mātauranga flows both ways! 🌊 Reposting from our friends at Toi Tangata "It’s not just our kaumātua sharing wisdom with our tamariki and mokopuna; our young ones also have the power to teach us." 👪 This year we celebrate te ao tākaro and the power of play and intergenerational learning, where everyone becomes both a teacher and a learner. ✨ #PlayWeek2024 #TākaroMai #ToiTangata #ThePowerofPlay

What an amazing two days of whanaungatanga, learning and sharing successes at the Healthy Active Learning National Hui in Wellington. 150 people, including the Healthy Active Learning physical activity and Health workforces, heard from expert and passionate speakers supporting the Kaupapa – all about enhancing the wellbeing of tamariki and rangatahi through healthy eating and drinking and quality physical activity. As Group CE of Sport NZ Raelene Castle said in her keynote, “Sport and physical activity has the ability to enhance the lives of tamariki. Schools and kura play an important role in ensuring all tamariki have access to positive physical activity experiences."
