We had an amazing time at both our one-day XLabs circular economy workshops last Thursday and Friday with businesses from Tauranga. Thanks to our partners—Circularity, Tauranga City Council’s Resource Wise programme, and Priority One Western Bay of Plenty—for making this possible. A huge thank you to all the local businesses and those working in the built environment who came together to identify a challenge and develop circular solutions in partnership. We are looking forward to keeping the momentum going by continuing to work alongside businesses to help make these ideas a reality. And shoutout to The Good Neighbour for the delicious catering using rescued food, eliminating food waste and engaging young people to learn new skills 🍽️ So what goes down in one of our XLabs circular economy workshops?: 💡Expert Insights: Participants learned more about the circular economy, why it is important and the benefits of making the shift for businesses from our leading circular economy strategist, Louise Nash. 👥Networking: Great connections were made among diverse businesses to activate collaborative collisions for circular solutions, and ultimately accelerate circular innovation. ✍️Practical Tools: Attendees left with actionable frameworks to support ideating and implementing circular solutions to generate tangible progress towards reducing environmental impact. If you're a business looking to innovate, design out waste, reduce emissions, and regenerate nature then our XLabs circular economy programme may be right for you. We have online courses and in-person one-three day workshops to help explore and activate the circular economy for your business, industry or city. Together, we are redesigning the future to be circular 🌍🌿💡
