The Go-To-Market Team

At Slalom, we work to help our clients succeed. We work with them to achieve their objectives and set their sights on the realm of the possible. Slalom’s Go-To-Market (GTM) team is one of Slalom’s key strategic drivers of growth in any region, they represent the multi-faceted approach we have to sales and is made up of 4 capabilities.

  • Sales: our business development focussed squad, bringing in new relationships and opportunities.
  • Client Partnership: Leaders of our key strategic accounts and straddling the line between sales & delivery to ensure a consistent experience for our clients.
  • Alliances: Managing our incredibly important partnerships with various technology vendors whom we work with on a day-to-day basis.
  • Marketing: Creating and managing events and driving brand recognition across the region to promote Slalom as the partner of choice. 



Alliance Manager Role



Our GTM team is currently seeking an Alliance Manager to join our team in Auckland.  At Slalom, we are passionate about people and believe in true partnership, whether that’s with our clients or our partners. Our aim is to be the most impactful partner to each of our partners and transform the way our mutual clients do business.

As an Alliance Manager, you will define the market partner strategy in collaboration with our leaders and actively drive towards our partner goals throughout the year. You’ll spend your days being deeply embedded with your partners – understanding their environments & industry, recognising their opportunities & constraints, delivering on client projects, overseeing our delivery work, developing & implementing strategies that marry Slalom capabilities and client needs, and managing the overall business & operations of a given portfolio. 

You will possess a passion for technology consulting and have experience building and developing successful GTM strategies in a partner role. You will thrive on managing relationships with a partner or client and have a proven success supporting sales opportunities. You will be accountable for the health of our partner business in support of our overall strategy and growth.

We’re looking for an eager, self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced and somewhat ambiguous environment and is willing to get creative and try something, quickly adjusting to improve outcomes next time.

What will you do? 

  • Determine and drive to key partner revenue goals based on input from overall market strategy, market growth goals, and practice focus areas
  • Coordinate with Slalom local market personnel in planning process to develop mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones for each alliance
  • Proactively assess, clarify, and validate partner and Slalom needs on an ongoing basis
  • Develop partner engagement activities such as marketing campaigns, sales alignment and customer engagement, to support overall partner strategy
  • Possess a deep understanding of the partner ecosystem, including incentive programs, enablement offerings, and success measures
  • Support our practices in developing go-to-market strategy aligned to partners and working with our partners to implement and amplify these across their field teams.
  • Work closely with Global Alliances marketing and operations teams to rollout global strategy and process in market localising strategy, tactics and content as appropriate. 

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years combined experience in partner management, technology sales, business development, or consulting services
  • General understanding of foundational enterprise technologies (cloud, compute, database, visualization, etc.)
  • Strong executive presence and comfort in presenting at the executive level
  • Self-starter with natural networking skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills
  • Experience in managing a pipeline of future projects or opportunities across a diverse team with keen attention to detail, including comfort in managing to a clearly defined revenue plan
  • Consistent record of driving return on investment, customer acquisition, and deep executive engagements through creative marketing programs
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% for alliance meetings and conferences
