OMIFCO received this prestigious recognition during the opening of the Second Gulf Industrial Exhibition in Qatar. The event, held under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Thani, Qatar’s Minister of Commerce and Industry, was graced by H.E. Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Oman’s Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, along with GCC Ministers of Commerce and Industry.

Oman India Fertiliser Company SAOC (OMIFCO) has been established, as the result of an initiative by the Governments of Oman & India, in order to construct, own and operate a modern world scale two-train ammonia-urea fertiliser manufacturing plant at the Sur Industrial Estate in the Sultanate of Oman. OMIFCO is owned 50% by (OQ), 25% by (IFFCO) & 25% by (KRIBHCO). OMIFCO was founded on many objectives, some of which are working to increase the added value of the natural gas, raising the trade balance of the Sultanate of Oman by increasing exports and increasing and enhancing the contribution of the private sector in the GDP of the Sultanate, as well as the establishment of the latest industrial complex environment-friendly. We seek to be a globally recognized model for our mounting indicators of achievement as we are working hard to realize our vision of creating a culture of excellence and teamwork spirit through a group of qualified employees and an excellent work environment. We are giving utmost priority to maintain national and international environmental standards through the implementation of environmental management system and pollution control system, in addition to employing a thorough occupational safety system. Our workforce embraces a group of active and effective employees upon whom we heavily rely to raise the level of the company operations. We provide our employees with various training and development schemes that fit their individual needs and strengthen the skills levels. As a national responsible company, we always strive to respond to community requests of deserving cause, as well as activities, events and projects that are connected to our trade scope, consistent with our commitment to sustainable development, and promoting the cultural life and values of our Omani society. في إطار بناء القدرات وقياس فعالية الإستجابة وكفاءة التعامل مع حالات الطوارئ البحرية نفذت #أوميفكو يوم أمس تدريباً عملياً لإجراءات الإستجابة للمستوى الأول بحضور المختصين من شرطة عمان السلطانية (شرطة خفر السواحل) و وزارة النقل والإتصالات وتقنية المعلومات وهيئة البيئة ومدائن والشركة العمانية للغاز الطبيعي المسال As part of capacity building and measuring the effectiveness of response and efficiency of handling marine emergencies, #OMIFCO conducted yesterday a practical training on Level 1 response procedures in the presence of representatives from the Royal Oman Police (Coast Guard Command), the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, Environment Authority, Madayn and Oman LNG.
