As of 1 March, Denmark holds the Presidency of the UN Security Council Denmark is honored to assume the Security Council presidency for the month of March. A month, where Denmark chairs Council meetings and manages Council programme. Denmark’s ambition as Council president is to play a constructive role, to keep the Council functioning and relevant – and reach compromises – even under difficult circumstances. The presidency also presents an opportunity to focus on DK priorities. As an example, Denmark plans to host a signature event on future of UN peacekeeping later this month. #DKonUNSC #peaceandsecurity
