ABOUT MAP: The Management Association of Pakistan, was formed in 1964 to meet the impending demand for managerial talent within the country, consequent to the rapid increase in industrialization. The Association is a non-political and non-profit organization. It has been registered by guarantee with its registered office in Karachi since 1967. A Lahore Chapter has recently started working as well. MAP has about 250 institutional and more than 495 individual members. MAP’s Institutional members contribute a significant portion of Pakistan’s GDP. MAP’s mandate is to further management thought, practice and advocacy. The affairs of MAP are managed by an elected high-powered 10 member Executive Committee, including 4 Office Bearers designated as President, Vice President, Honorary Treasurer and Honorary Secretary. The Executive Committee comprises of corporate entities and leading Business Institutions such as Pakistan Cables, Engro Foods, EBM, Orient McCaan, The Jang Group, IOBM, Attock Cement, Sicpa Inks Pakistan, Century 21st, and KPMG -Taseer Hadi &Co Etc. Karachi – June 6, 2024: A delegation of the Management Association of Pakistan called upon the Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah at the Chief Minister House. The delegation apprised the Chief Minister of the issues and concerns being faced by the corporate sector. The delegation included the MAP President Senator Sarmad Ali, Mr. Talib S. Karim, Mr. Amir Jamil Abbasi, Mr. Muhammad Intesaruddin, and Syed Ali Hasan Naqvi. The MAP delegation presented its proposals for the upcoming 2024-25 Sindh budget to the Chief Minister. The meeting was also attended by the Provincial Minister of Industries & Commerce Department, Mr. Jam Ikramullah Dharejo, and Secretary Industries & Commerce Department, Mr. Muhammad Yaseen Shar Baloch, as well as Mr. Abdul Rahim Shaikh, Secretary to Chief Minister.
