Last week in Karachi was an enriching experience for the Well Intervention professionals of UEPL. They engaged with Howard Crumpton during the Five days Fishing, Perforating, and Other Slickline Applications program. This visit marked Howard Crumpton's first trip to Pakistan and was the second program organized by Obiz International for UEPL this year. On the final day, Howard Crumpton presented his book, Well Control Completions and Interventions, to the UEPL team. Here is in continuity of our geo-toursim post. While in mountains Pakistan , we thought of a trip to the famous salt range of Pakistan, which is Khewra Gorge , it is museum of geology , here rocks from Cambrian to recent period are exposed. This also holds second largest salt mine of the world. The idea was quickly picked by Adil Azeem , who perfectly planned and executed the one day trip from Islamabad to Khewra . Adil & Pascal Richard were joined by Ahsan Amin , Ali Hameed, Saad Saeed Jadoon and Jawad Farooq . Last week, Dr. Pascal Richard and Hasan A Jeelani had an amazing time exploring the Himalayas and Karakoram mountains. They're now excited about the idea of geotourism in Gilgit Baltistan, Pakistan. They plan to organize two trips each year for local and foreign geoscientists, led by Dr. Pascal. It's a great way to share their passion for geology and discover the region's beauty together. This trip was followed by a one day trip to Khewra Salt range , holding worlds second largest salt mine.
