Nowadays, every country including Pakistan in the world has taken cybersecurity as a serious concern due to the modern age of digital advancement. As it is constructing its digital infrastructure, the country faces many cyber security challenges that undermine its government institutions, businesses and citizens. This essay looks at current cybersecurity threats in Pakistan and gives measures that can be put in place to curb them. Pakistan experiences phishing attacks as one of the commonest cyber security threats. Here, cyber criminals deceive people into giving them confidential information like passwords, credit card numbers among other personal data by pretending to be trusted individuals or organizations. These attacks usually occur through emails, social media or phony websites which appear similar to authentic sites. Once they get hold of such information, they may use it for identity theft, financial fraud or illegal entry into crucial systems. https://thevoice.pk https://lnkd.in/dAtEhy8X #Cybersecurity

Feminism is a collection of theories and convictions that contrast how the world is for men with how it is for women just because of their gender. Feminism has historically progressed from being a critical study of gender inequity to a more nuanced analysis of the social and performative constructions of gender and sexuality. https://thevoice.pk https://lnkd.in/d4EsV96E #Feminism #GenderEquality #WomensRights #NawalElSaadawi #Patriarchy

Malnutrition is defined by WHO as ‘the deficiencies, excesses or imbalances in a person’s intake of energy and/or nutrients’. It has been categorized into various forms including undernutrition, micronutrient deficiencies, overweight, and diet-related non-communicable diseases (NCDs) (World Health Organization, 2024). About 20.5% of the Pakistani Population is found to be malnourished, out of which 40% comprises children aged below five years (World Food Programme, 2024). This lack of adequate nutrition poses a serious threat to a child’s physical and mental well-being leading to debilitating consequences later on in life. Simultaneously, in many households, undernutrition co-exists with obesity and NCDs thus creating a ‘double burden’ of malnutrition in Pakistan. Such a high prevalence of malnutrition can be attributed to the complex interplay of political, social, and economic factors which are crucial to be understood for paving the path towards solutions. https://thevoice.pk https://lnkd.in/drBERQZ4 #Malnutrition
