Yunus Textile Mills Leads the Green Energy Transition We proudly joined the Embassy of Sweden and Business Sweden for a high-level Policy Dialogue on Green Energy and Energy Efficiency in the Textile Sector, reaffirming our leadership in championing Pakistan’s transition toward a sustainable, energy-resilient textile industry. This landmark initiative, part of the Sustainable Textile Platform by Sweden in Pakistan, brought together key policymakers, industry leaders, and sustainability advocates to accelerate action on renewable energy adoption and efficiency-driven competitiveness. We presented the Green Energy Transition case to Federal Minister for Power Division, Mr. Sardar Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari, Managing Director of NEECA, Dr. Sardar Mohazzam and Secretary of Commerce, Mr. Jawad Paul, addressing: ✅ Challenges in scaling renewable energy investments. ✅ Actions taken by the textile sector in solar, wind, and energy efficiency. ✅ The cost of inaction, emphasizing the urgent need for policy support to maintain global competitiveness. With insights from Ms. Romina Khurshid Alam and industry leaders IKEA, H&M, and Atlas Copco, the discussion reinforced that renewable energy is essential for survival, not just sustainability.
