🎥 "Panorama", a local news programme, presented yesterday the summary of 2024 for the Baltic Hub . Bogdan Oldakowski, BPO Secretary General was one of the experts speaking about the results and expansion of the terminal. As it is known, this year Gdańsk will stop serving direct container connections from Asia. According to experts, however, this will not affect the operating results of the Polish terminal. 🗣️ 'There will be fewer calls of large units, such as ocean-going ones, but there will be many more calls of smaller units. So in my opinion this change will not have a major impact on the volume' - Bogdan Oldakowski underlined. Currently, the construction of the third deep-water quay is underway at the Baltic Hub . The semi-automatic T3 terminal will not only speed up ship handling, but above all increase transshipment capacity from 3 to 4.5 million containers per year. 🗣️ 'Traffic at container terminals is growing all the time. Last year there were increases of approx. 10%, so in order to keep up with such increases, new infrastructure must be built' - Bogdan Oldakowski summarized. The material (in Polish) about the terminal starts in the 5th minute of the programme 👇 #polishterminal #polishcontainerterminal #expert
