Yesterday in Budapest 🇭🇺all CELBET experts meeting has started. ➡️First day was dedicated to summing up all 8 years of CELBET 3 phases. ✅Leaders and #experts of each team have presented their activities and also the way the team has been integrating and developing the #teamwork approach. 🎓”Being an expert of CELBET I feel like graduating the university of customs”- this is how Georgios from Greece expressed his opinion as an expert. ➡️Second day of all experts meeting started with an evaluation of the CELBET activities from a Greek Customs ΑΑΔΕ - IAPR point of view. 🇬🇷Mrs Angeliki Matsouka , Head to Cabinet to DG Support Department, told successful story of the CELBET support and assistance in Greece. ✅Mrs Matsouka recalled the early beginning of the project and repeated well known message: „I feel like a mother of CELBET. I supported the initiative from the very beginning. And even when I changed my job position I couldn’t leave CELBET. Mother doesn’t leave her baby”. 📌Information on new expert team EUCABET, with the structure and teams’ role was presented by Head of CELBET András Bartha. 🧩The last point of the meeting agenda was a common creativity task: puzzles of heritage. Each team had to fill the puzzle with a message reflecting the essence and cooperation core of CELBET. The puzzle picture will be placed on 🇭🇺🇷🇸Roszke BCP in newly opened Center of Expertise on Customs Control Skills Development. 🥇In the closing speech, Head of CELBET underlined the #commitment, #creativity and visbile results of all the 7️⃣ teams.

It was an honor to be present during this celebration of the achievements of CELBET, the first enhanced operational cooperation between land border countries, created in 2016 using the Customs program funding. This is thanks to the great dedication and commitment of customs officials, working hard to achieve tremendous and inspirational results.

Without the dedication and outstanding efforts of the team leaders and experts, we would not be today celebrate this achievement “ - said Mr András Bartha, Head of CELBET in a welcome speech at the official ceremony for the handover of CELBET commemorative medals. 🥇The ceremony was organized on 16 of October in Budapest. The event was organized by National Tax and Customs Administration of Hungary. Nemzeti Adó- és Vámhivatal / National Tax and Customs Administration of Hungary Experts, team leaders and Steering Committee representatives have been awarded with specially designed medals. 🎖️Each medal reflects participation in the expert team in a different phase, starting from CELBET 1️⃣ to CELBET 3️⃣. Mr. Matthias Petschke, Director DG TAXUD, expressed high gratitude for all experts and underlined the unique and pioneering character of the CELBET as an expert team: „It is really great to see familiar faces here. You know each other. I must say you are great family, there is a lot of enthusiasm. There is a feeling that you are at the forefront, that you are pioneering something which is bigger and we continue. 💥 Customs officers from 9️⃣ countries: Croatia, Slovakia, Poland, Sweden, Hungary, Germany, Belgium, Greece and Romania participate in CELBET Train Search training in Latvia. 💡The following curriculum is offered on the training: ✅Railway Infrastructure and technology of Indra BCP ✅ searching techniques ✅ risk assessment ✅ railway documents ✅ customs control equipment ✅ inspection at real border crossing point During yesterday practical part of Train Search training participants visited the 🇱🇻 Daugavpils Locomotive Repair Plant, the biggest company in Baltic States which overhauls and modernizes rolling stock.🚂 💥Today, trainees are on Indra #border crossing point where they tat their skills during physical train control. Why is training organized in Daugavpils 🇱🇻? Because CELBET has established Center of Expertise on #train search there. This is one of the CELBET 7 Centers of Expertise and it has the best infrastructure and most experienced trainers in the field of train’s inspection. 💡Train Search #training is taking place in Latvia, from 8 to 10 of October. 🥇Great appreciation to Latvian #Customs Valsts ieņēmumu dienests for such attractive agenda and perfect organization.

👮♀️👮♀️👮♀️CELBET experts are participating as trainers in Course for Border Guard and Customs Cooperation Advisers, held in Chișinău 🇲🇩 and organized from 30.09-4.10 by Frontex ✅For the first time, that training curriculum was offered at regional level to Eastern EU Pre-accesion partners from 🇲🇩 , 🇺🇦, 🇬🇪. Cooperation and Risk Management team members have been invited to this Frontex event as a result of deep and fruitful cooperation between CELBET and Frontex and in general between two brotherhood authorities that ensure safety and security on border: customs and border guard. CELBET experts are in the role of trainers, experienced in the field of border control management and effective cooperation issues. ✅What is the aim of the course? The common activity aims to: ➡️harmonize the profile, competencies at the EU level ➡️foster the implementation and effective cooperation on integrated border management ➡️develop knowledge, skills and competences of Border Guard and Customs cooperation advisers ✅Who is Border Guard and Customs cooperation adviser ? 👮♀️Staff assigned by #competent national authority to support the implementation of duties foreseen in the EU legal regulation on the #European Integrated #Border Management within a border #management authority. 🤝CELBET experts have been cooperating with Frontex from the beginning of the project. They support #Frontex joint control actions, like JAD Pirate editions, Road Show action, and training courses. 🥇Experts also actively contributed to the building and developing common #cooperation and #border #management approach.
