Are you creating or developing a product and facing competition? Don’t make the mistake of focusing too hard on watching – and emulating – them. Here’s why: First of all, what you’re seeing – unless you dabble in industrial espionage 😉 – is their current offering, not what they have in development. If you emulate, you’re already falling behind. Another mistake is focusing too hard on what you already have. Of course, improving existing features and fixing errors are essential, but fixing errors does not delight users. True delight comes from unique value — something no one else provides. There are two main ways to discover that unique value: 1. Look for inspiration outside of your bubble. Search for features, patterns, and solutions that could be relevant to your product but haven’t yet been implemented in your industry. 2. This one is trickier, and it’s tied to a fascinating concept called the Survivorship bias – it requires you to look at what’s NOT there: – Listen to people who did not become your customers. – Investigate features that users don’t talk about. – Analyze data that has been discarded, and gather data where you never did before. What happens next will surprise you! ✨

Peter and Michał, you’ve made intent proud by taking home the Grand Winner title! 🤩 Together, they took on HackWarsaw, earned a spot in the AngelHack WorldFinals, and emerged as the Grand Winners with an incredible IoT project built in just 48 hours 🚀 Your relentless passion, long coding nights, and dedication have truly paid off. Here’s to many more wins! 🤝
Oh boy I don't even know where do I start... So, together with Michał Tuszyński a while back we managed to win a local HackWarsaw, an AngelHack WorldHack hackathon which gave us a ticket to participate in WorldFinals that assembled 30 best teams from around the world in Singapore. This got us on a short but insanely intense journey to build a cool IoT project over 48 hours which turned out was the winning project making our team the Grand Winner of the series 🏁 Here's a little thank you lap 🟠 Michał Tuszyński for being super-passionate about hackathons and technology and coding through many many nights 🟠 Gladys Yuen, Irwin Lim, David Leong and everyone from AngelHack team - super-stoked the way you guys are running AngelHack and keeping this legendary hackathon brand running 🟠 Sumira Jayabalan and Michelle N. for outstanding mentoring sessions we had that helped us uniquely position the project 🟠 Ernest X. Arnaud Brolly for opportunity to pitch you and valuable feedback you gave us in the qualifying round! 🟠 Dr Rex Yeap, Serena Lim, Varun Mittal 海王-米塔尔 - Fintech Nation for being by far the best judging panel I've ever witnessed at a hackathon, on-point & challenging questions, extremely well prepared before hand, you guys made the effort we made feel amazing 🟠 Magdalena Smolak for cheering for our team and helping bring such magical events to Poland 🟠 ISHIMWE, Pushkar, Sayed, Ahmad the SmileUp team also qualifying from HackWarsaw who we shared the podium with - great effort! Teams like yours make these events legendary and super tough to compete against, yet very fun! 🟠 Alex, Seokyung, Khalisa, Jakub, Akash, Piotr, Michał and all the fantastic new friends I made at this hackathon, you guys rock! I still didn't shake off all the jet lag so for sure I probably missed a lot of great folks who made these past days incredible. Thank you 🙏
