I am looking at consumer companies for years. What is great about this category you can see metrics early. What is hard is to hit the benchmarks showing you might be on track to breakut is extremely hard. None of the dozens of social apps I analyzed was even close to what would be sign of finding PMF. And than Yope came - app for GenZ - accidently we found out about a company 1 day before our offsite. Having sent hundreds of photos via yope and a lot of fun with its infinite wall - we booked a flight to meet Bahram Ismailau. Founders from CEE, Baltics & Balkans: We’re here for you! 🌍 At Inovo.vc, we truly believe that our region has the potential to create 10+ big, global tech businesses every decade. There are more and more examples of such successes; and we want to be the partner that helps you get there. Back in 2014, we started as a Poland-focused fund. In 2019, with our second fund, we decided to validate: Can we support the best founders across Central Eastern Europe, not just Poland? Spoiler alert: we could. One of those investments was Preply, currently, a Ukrainian startup big success story. So, when we raised our third fund in 2022, we wanted to be truly a regional fund for founders from CEE, the Baltics and the Balkans all over the world. So far, it seems to be working. :) ➡️ Fund II: 71% of deals from Poland, 29% from the rest of the region. ➡️ Fund III (so far): 50% Poland, 50% regional founders from Ukraine, Croatia, Lithuania, Moldova, Romania, and beyond.
