Legacy systems are often the backbone of an organization. 🏗 They are built over years and layered with complex business logic that’s not always easy to untangle. When it’s time to upgrade, a careful approach is non-negotiable. Every edge case, every scenario needs to be considered to ensure a smooth transition. The ideal outcome? - Your customers shouldn't even notice that anything has changed. - Missing even a small detail can have big consequences. - Precision is key when modernizing legacy systems. 💡 See what Jiří Brunclík, Principal Engineering Manager at Microsoft, has to say about this:

‘Do you think the economy will rebound in the next 2-3 months?’ ‘Totally!’ say consumers in emerging markets. Those in advanced economies are not that sure… 📊 According to McKinsey, younger consumers in emerging markets are nearly two times more optimistic, on average, than those in advanced economies. By 2030, 75 percent of consumers in emerging markets will be between the ages of 15 and 34. 🔢 Now, the trend is not universal across geographies, but youngsters in India or Saudi Arabia will be willing to opt for higher-priced brands and retailers. What’s more, those in emerging markets are twice as likely to shop using social media, with China leading in the adoption of social commerce. Naturally, it’s GenZs and millennials that drive the trend. With social commerce being the most natural, seamless approach to online shopping and plenty of engagement models brands can play with, we can expect the sector to grow globally. When will the West catch up? 🤔 When was the last time you bought something while using a social platform? Image source: McKinsey & Company

Heard of Pattie Maes? No? Let’s fix this! 👩🏫 There are people who completely changed the way we do things that you know nothing about. 💫 That’s why Netguru came up with ‘Hidden Heroes’ – a unique project that aims to tackle just that. The first hero in our series: Pattie Maes who almost invented social media. Pattie Maes, a Belgian-born computer scientist, was inventing the core principles behind the social media age when Mark Zuckerberg was still in kindergarten. Some of the most valuable companies in the world like Netflix, Spotify, and Amazon are predicated on recommendation algorithms Pattie developed with her team, but in the mid-nineties she had a hard time convincing anyone that this could be a viable platform for a business. 👉 Read the full story https://lnkd.in/dbQp64YR

If you can do a website redesign in 8 days, you can do pretty much anything. Netguru came together with the Polish Media Liberation Found to reimagine their website. 🤝 It was crucial that the new design would draw inspiration from print media – the project had to feel like good ol’ press. The team jumped right in with redefined branding that included a new color palette, typography, and a simplified logo.  Results? Sleek look & feel across web and mobile. 👩🎨 See for yourself!
