The Puerto Rico Public Health Trust (PRPHT) was launched on April 2nd, 2019, in collaboration with government agencies, communities, local and international health institutions, and academia. PRPHT developed the mission, vision and objectives in collaboration with a group of trusted partners, including local communities, the Puerto Rico Department of Health, the Graduate School of Public Health of the University of Puerto Rico-Medical Sciences Campus, the Ponce Health Sciences University-School of Public Health, and the Central Caribbean University; the Federally Qualified Health Centers (330), the Puerto Rico Hospital Association and others partners and companies, such as Impactivo Consulting and FDI Clinical Research. The Puerto Rico Public Health Trust is a program of the Puerto Rico Science, Technology & Research Trust (PRSTRT), designated by law as a public health institute in the Island. We advance public health practice and make systematic improvements in population health. We drive developments that impact communities' health outcomes to decline health inequalities. PRPHT aims to foster positive change and structural improvements by leveraging and pooling resources through partnerships with communities, government agencies, foundations, the health care delivery system, media, and academia. Mission Serve as trusted ally working with private and public partners to identify and execute community-led, evidence-based solutions. Vision Achieve sustainable health equity in Puerto Rican communities and improve their quality of life through innovation, collaboration and community engagement. Reach The PRPHT is focused in Puerto Rico communities and public health partners within and outside Puerto Rico.
