In Portugal, approximately 18% of the population find everyday activities constantly challenging due to inaccessible public spaces, information, and opportunities. This impacts their quality of life and their participation in society. Accessibility barriers remain a leading cause of social exclusion for over 1 million Portuguese individuals, including those with disabilities, older people, and people with limited mobility. ♿   Unipartner showcased its Accessibility Barrier Management Solution alongside EMPA – Estrutura de Missão para a Promoção das Acessibilidades at the Digital with Purpose Global Summit 2024, organized by Global Enabling Sustainability Initiative (GeSI). This partnership highlights the urgent need to address accessibility and the challenges faced by people with disabilities. Despite advancements in accessibility legislation, significant implementation gaps persist.   This solution aims to bridge this gap through a user-friendly platform everyone can access through a smartphone. With a quick and simple process, anyone can report an accessibility challenge to be addressed by EMPA, assisted by the app’s georeferencing functionality. Unipartner is proud to help with the collaborative efforts on the GIC Network (Rede para a Gestão da Informação e Conhecimento das Secretarias) from the Secretaria-Geral da Presidência do Conselho de Ministros, and their significant results, which aim to inform a comprehensive assessment of the national archival landscape and pave the way for a collaborative action plan.   Recognizing the complexity of identifying innovative solutions and navigating the ever-evolving technological landscape of information services, Nuno Evangelista and Cristina Coelho, Senior Consultants from Unipartner, featured the General Secretariats’ newsletter and shared their expertise on methodologies and project phases involved in developing the Digital Preservation Plans.   By fostering knowledge sharing and embracing innovation through this approach, Unipartner ensures the preservation of institutional knowledge for future generations. The Digital with Purpose Framework by Global Enabling Sustainability Initiative (GeSI) has been instrumental in shaping sustainability efforts and driving our commitment to ethical and impactful digital transformation. 🤝   As the Digital with Purpose Global Summit 2024 came to an end, it was a pleasure for us to participate in the panel “DWP: Accelerate sustainable business through digital transformation”. Our exclusive two-day Hackathon “AI for Sustainability” at Digital with Purpose Global Summit 2024 has come to an amazing conclusion! ✨   The second day was dedicated to the creation of a business case around the choosen idea by each team. Considering factors such as feasibility, impact, and scalability, the teams worked towards transforming their innovative concepts into viable projects with real-world potential and impact. 🌍   Our jury evaluated the pitches and the ideas generated by the teams, providing some valuable feedback towards a possible implementation and the positive impact they can have. Addressing the organizations’ needs, by brainstorming creative digital solutions to make their processes and operations more sustainable through Artificial Intelligence, was the aim of this special Hackathon and we wish both teams managed to achieve that goal together with our Digital Lab team! 🎯   Congratulations to both ANACOM - Autoridade Nacional de Comunicações and Câmara Municipal de Cascais for their innovative thinking and for coming up with such good ideas which will surely have a positive impact! Collaboration has an incredible power and digital innovation brings endless possibilities.
