📌 Today UNITE convened the 2024 in-person #UNITEGlobalBoard meeting at the Deutscher Bundestag, in Berlin. 🌍 After 4 full days of the World Health Summit and our #UNITEGlobalSummit, our Global Board and Secretariat had the opportunity to meet to review this year's progress and discuss priorities for the final year of our current strategy. We were pleased to welcome our partners from the World Health Organization and Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance. 🌐 This meeting marks a key transition for UNITE as we approach the final year of our 2022-2025 strategy and begin shaping a new strategic framework for 2026-2030, with a focus on post-SDG priorities and navigating the increasingly complex #GlobalHealth landscape. #time2UNITE #WHS2024

📌 UNITE congratulates the Oireachtas Joint Committee on Drugs Use and UNITE Members Senator Lynn Ruane and Senator Mary Seery Kearney on the adoption of the Committee's interim report on October 22, targeting the urgent changes needed around #DrugPolicy and drugs use in Ireland. 🏛️ Among the 59 recommendations for government to introduce a health-led approach to drugs, the report calls for the decriminalisation of the person in relation to the possession of all substances for personal use.
