Our partnership with Qatar Airways is taking off to a higher altitude following the Australian Government’s approval of the airline’s minority investment in Virgin Australia. The equity investment unlocks numerous benefits, including access to the scale and expertise of a leading global airline, strengthening our ability to compete domestically and internationally. For our customers, it means greater value and choice when travelling to Europe, the Middle East and Africa via Doha, with 28 new weekly Virgin Australia services taking off from the middle of this year, subject to IASC approval. The Australian visitor economy will receive an estimated $3 billion boost over the next five years as a result of additional inbound capacity. And for our people, this investment opens the door to secondment and promotional opportunities. Today is an important strategic milestone for Virgin Australia.
