We are very proud that Plan-C project is a Flagship project of the #DanubeRegionStrategy So we continue our work in 2025! The Plan-C project boosts the transformation of the #plasticsvaluechain in the Danube countries towards #circularity through the transnational cooperation of plastics processors/producers and the #machineindustry. Based on transnational technology transfer and a design thinking process, both actor groups jointly develop prototype solutions of #plasticsproducts + #machineconcepts designed for circularity to demonstrate the benefits of #recycling #reuse #remanufacturing through innovative business cases.  

Circularity in the Machine Industry was the theme of the Design Thinking workshop implemented by our Project Partner FITT - Foundation for Innovation, Technology and Transfer of Knowledge The project as part of the Interreg Danube Region Programme aiming to promote innovation, recycling, reuse, and repair by developing prototypes of products and machinery solutions for a sustainable future. What happens to a machine when it is no longer functional? How can certain machine parts be reused for other purposes? How significant is servicing in the lifespan of a machine? And which materials ensure an economical recycling process? - These are just some of the questions we addressed by offering an innovative concept for circular solutions. The goal of circularity in the machine industry is to prevent products from being discarded by focusing on repair, reuse, and recycling. This approach protects the planet's resources, reduces CO2 emissions, and creates sustainable economic models.

🚀 In the previous period, the Foundation ITT worked hard on implementing the project activities from the SpinIT and Plan-C Moving PLastics and mAchine iNdustry towards Circularity-C Interreg projects. We attended the SpinIT Live Event in Zenica in September, where we participated in the SCOM meeting, LAP workshops, as well as the SpinIT Conf. 🎯 The SpinIT Conf was quite interesting since it presented innovations in Industry 4.0, IT, plastics and sustainability and recyclability, and a various public attended these workshops and presentations to learn more about advancements in these fields. 💡 Since we are also implementing the Plan-C Interreg project, that tackles the problems of introducing the green economy into plastic and machine industry, we used the opportunity to present the goals of this project and we implemented the Design Thinking Workshop for Plastics. 🎯 The main goal of the design thinking workshop is to assess the current state of digitalization in the industry in Bosnia and Herzegovina, identify challenges and problems in domestic plastic industry and offer a new innovative solution designed for circularity focused on AUTOMOTIVE and CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY. 🤝 The workshop was attended by 19 participants, from which there were 4 companies, three universities and one development agency. The participants came from different backgrounds: automotive, IT and construction industry, and software engineering, construction and manufacturing (mechanical and electrotechnical) faculty. 💡 We concluded that the connection of the plastics industry with automation and robotics allows for significant improvements in product quality, production speed, cost reduction and process sustainability. Technologies such as robotic arms, automatic control systems and digitalization are enabling the plastics industry to become more competitive, efficient and environmentally friendly. One of the key objectives of our project is transforming the machine industry into a circular economy through the implementation of a design thinking methodology. First we focuses on building a shared understanding of the challenges faced by the machine industry. By gathering insights and analyzing the current situation, the project aims to create a comprehensive synopsis of the industry's needs and potential for circular transformation. Our project partner, Innoskart Digital Cluster organized a workshop yesterday where members of the metal industry cluster gathered to discuss the current status of the transition to a circular economy, the challenges, and the issues that need to be addressed. Projektünk egyik legfontosabb célkitűzése a gépipar átalakítása körforgásos gazdasággá, a design thinking módszertan alkalmazásával. Először is arra összpontosítunk, hogy közös megértést alakítsunk ki a gépipar előtt álló kihívásokról. Az információk összegyűjtésével és a jelenlegi helyzet elemzésével a projekt célja, hogy átfogó összefoglalót készítsen az iparág szükségleteiről és a körforgásos átalakulás potenciáljáról. Projektpartnerünk, az Innoskart Digitális Klaszter tegnap workshopot szervezett, amelyen a fémipari klaszter tagjai gyűltek össze, hogy megvitassák a körforgásos gazdaságra való átállás jelenlegi állapotát, a kihívásokat és a megoldandó problémákat.
