La French Tech Bucharest is thrilled to announce that we are winners of the French Tech Community Fund 2024-2025! Thanks to the support from Mission French Tech, we will enhance our efforts to amplify the #FrenchTech ecosystem's global influence. The French Tech Community Fund provides financial backing that allows us to roll out strategic initiatives aligned with Mission French Tech's international priorities. Our key projects for 2024-2025 include: 👉Strengthening France's global appeal and promoting French start-ups abroad. We aim to attract international talent, investors, and partners to the French Tech ecosystem by showcasing French success stories and innovations. 👉Supporting the French Deeptech startup ecosystem (especially in AI and Greentech). We will organize large-scale international events to highlight French advancements in these crucial sectors and foster international collaborations. 👉Connecting French Tech startups with our local network. We will facilitate introductions between promising French entrepreneurs and major international groups and investors. Strategic meetings will be organized to promote fundraising and business partnerships on a global scale, in collaboration with Business France and the economic department of the French Embassy. 👉Promoting Mission French Tech's commitments to gender equality. We will organize thematic discussions and events that empower and highlight women in tech, ensuring significant female representation among speakers and organizers at all our events. What an incredible night at our first #FrenchTech Summer Party! Hosted at the stunning Indigen on Tei Lake in Bucharest, we welcomed 300 guests for an evening of vibrant networking and summer celebration. The atmosphere was nothing short of magical, with French and Romanian innovators mingling seamlessly. This event was a testament to the power of community and collaboration. We’re especially grateful to Deloitte and Alexandra Smedoiu, CFA, whose insightful contributions made a significant impact. Alexandra’s speech was a highlight, and Deloitte’s support is deeply appreciated. Thank you! So, here we go:   « What’s next, this year, for La French Tech in stunning Romania? ↳ In September, we’ll hold the 5th edition of FRENCH TECH – ROMANIAN TOUCH. This is our black tie, flagship event, with “la crème de la crème” from both the start-up and corporate worlds! 10 top start-ups from France will join. Location: the French Embassy in Bucharest, with 500 guests.   ↳ In October, we’ll have our 2nd ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE summit. The event will address the topic of human intelligence processes by machines, especially computer systems, natural language processing, speech recognition and machine vision. Again, with 500 participants!   ↳ In November – we’ll hold the 3rd edition of INSPIRING WOMEN IN BUSINESS. The event will promote women in leadership roles, as the world rides the accelerated waves of digital transformation and inclusion, with 750 guests. ↳ In December, we will have a business event dedicated to CLIMATE FINANCE, for the third consecutive year. Our panel will focus on the 3 steps to achieve carbon neutrality, namely: estimate, reduce and compensate for a company’s carbon footprint. Number of guests: 250. 🚀 Exciting News from Moldova! 🚀 Some of our board members went to the Digital Summit in Chisinau, last week, where we were invited by the Moldovan Prime Minister, Dorin Recean, PMP, MBA and the Minister of Digitalization Dumitru Alaiba. 🇲🇩 Moldova, a small country of 2.5 million people nestled between Romania and Ukraine, with its capital Chisinau home to 500,000 residents, is Romanian-speaking and ripe with potential. 🌐 Our mission was to explore the opportunity of launching a local French Tech community. 🐓 From French Tech Bucharest, our team was: Ralph Parisot, Dylan Delhommois, Jérémy de France, Sylvain SAILLARD, and Grégoire VIGROUX. 🙌 During our visit, we had the privilege of meeting some incredible individuals: Olga SURUGIU, CEO of Orange Moldova Emmanuel SKOULIOS, Director of the French Chamber of Commerce Dumitru Cozmolici, Local CEO of Up Graham Paul, Ambassador of France Norman Ledoux, French IT entrepreneur The team from Invest Moldova The feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Despite the small size of the French community in Moldova, there's a strong desire to foster a local French Tech community.
