Entleiber I've spent the day looking for some decent goth rock that speaks to me. Nothing was satisfying until I found this. Everything is right here: the atmosphere, the songwriting, the melodies, the voice, the whole concept. And what a surprise to hear a familiar voice and find out it's indeed Kvohst from <code> and Grave Pleasures. Although I think the album doesn't need his guest appearance - it's convincing enough on its own and I would have even preferred it without his vocals. Great band. Favorite track: Hiraeth.

Joshua Harvey Beautiful, haunting, melodic, and catchy - I can't get enough. The recording is spacious and natural, especially the drum sound. The best "post-punk" metallic music I have found so far. The vocalist is magic. Huge fan. Fear the rope!

What I like the most about this album is that it seems to be more riff-oriented and memorable compared to their earlier albums which were chock-full of crazy dissonant riffage but their songs often meandered or lacked any distinct progression. That is not to say that this this album is any less dense, but is certainly a little catchier, here and there. As always with Ulcerate, their music rewards repeated listening while clearly retaining the tragic, emotional feeling the band is known for. Lefteris Kefalas
