📝🏛️ The Government of the Republic of Serbia presented the new Artificial Intelligence Development Strategy for the period from 2024 to 2030. The Strategy placed special emphasis on the #incentive for AI's application in the #creativesectors, where a program to promote the development of new #AItools that can aid in the creation, analysis, and distribution of #creativecontent is also planned. In a broader sense, the goal of the new Strategy is to accelerate the development #artificialintelligence in the #economy and #education. The EU #AIAct came into force, as the world's first comprehensive #artificialintelligence law! The rules of Chapter 5 that apply to General Purpose AI Models will however only apply as of August 2nd, 2025. And after that, full implementation is expected from 2027. Important facts: 1️⃣ EU is the only one that has enacted this regulation, so the big AI players in the United States and Asia are still using AI without a #regulatedsystem; 2️⃣ The goal of the AIAct is to prohibit the use of #highriskuses that threaten #basichumanrights, and to regulate #lessrisky ones; 3️⃣ AIAct affects obligations in many different sectors such as #laborlaw, #consumerlaw, #dataprotectionlaw, #IPlaw, and fundamental and human rights; 4️⃣ Although this act does not bind Serbia, similar to the #GDPR, it will most likely be a guideline for #internalregulation, so it is recommended that the business be regulated from the start according to the AIAct, in order to reduce the #costsofcompliance with the regulation in the future.
