Put Her in the Picture! 💪🏾💗 Today, we celebrated the conclusion of Check Me Ltd Breast Cancer Awareness campaign with an engaging workshop at Data Girl Technologies The event was filled with meaningful activities, including discussions on what breast cancer is, its signs and symptoms, and the myths surrounding this critical issue. We also heard inspiring stories from those who have seen loved ones battle this deadly disease, highlighting the importance of community support. Participants learned about preventive measures like self-examinations and early detection treatment options, empowering them to take charge of their health. The atmosphere was vibrant, with fun games, Cherokee singing, and dancing to honor breast cancer survivors! 🎶💃 We were particularly thrilled to have a deaf and mute participant who expressed his joy in learning about breast cancer. He is eager to advocate for awareness and support others in understanding this important issue. 🎗️ Together We Are Stronger 💪🏾💗 As part of the October Breast Cancer Awareness campaign, Check Me Ltd partnered with Smart Family Association, Happy Me Health, and Smart Kids Positive Community Association to bring health awareness and sensitization to Bamukong, a remote village in the Southwest region of Cameroon. 🏞️ We saw the urgent need to provide FREE consultations 🩺 and educate women on breast cancer, high blood pressure, and other critical health issues. Our team of medical professionals engaged in one-on-one discussions with the inhabitants, covering essential topics such as what breast cancer is, its signs and symptoms, myths, hygiene, and nutrition 💕. Over 60 people, aged 22-65, were empowered with the knowledge they needed! 🌸After speaking with the community, we realized that many of the inhabitants had very little knowledge about breast cancer—especially on how to perform self-examinations and understand treatment options. This underscored the importance of healthcare initiatives like this in remote areas. 🌍 That’s why platforms like CheckMe, which connect Doctors and Patients, are so impactful. People in remote areas can consult with our doctors anytime, receive medical advice, learn how to perform self-examinations, explore treatment options, and get follow-up support on their appointments and medications 💊. 🌍✨ I am honored to have participated as a panelist at the recent Breast Cancer Awareness event hosted by Carnegie Mellon University Africa. It was a wonderful opportunity to discuss the critical importance of early detection and support for African women facing breast cancer. During the event, I had the pleasure of sharing how Check Me Ltd empowers women through educational content, community support, and health management solutions.
