It’s hard to believe it’s already been two weeks since we participated in the 3rd Annual Broker Association Conference themed "Shaping the Future: Navigating the New Frontier." We were proud to have our Actuarial Manager for Africa Regions Sheila Kirika , FIA moderating an insightful panel on capacity building, partnerships, and embracing technology. Here are the key takeaways: ➡ Brokers should collaborate with Insurtechs to leverage their expertise in risk management. ➡ Capacity building in Rwanda is essential; training, mentorship, and university engagement are critical for growth. ➡ Brokers are akin to the midwives of insurance—facilitating the delivery of innovative products, including infrastructure projects, and upskilling is vital. ➡ Strong partnerships with organizations such as NAIS are crucial, particularly in advancing education. ➡ Utilizing existing savings structures like SACCOs is key to enhancing insurance penetration. Let’s continue to innovate and collaborate as we shape the future of our industry! #RIBA2024 #Insurance #Partnerships
