💡 WAIFC, along with its Africa Roundtable and member FinCity.Tokyo (東京国際金融機構) 🇯🇵, hosted a Business Forum to strengthen investment potential and economic ties between Japan and Africa. 🔑This forum marks a major step in promoting Africa as an attractive destination for Japanese businesses, setting the stage for deeper collaboration between the two regions. 📌In line with its strategic objectives, #WAIFC aims to foster dialogues with major financial centers beyond Africa, and this event in Tokyo was the first of its kind outside the continent, following the WAIFC’s Annual General Meeting (AGM). ✨ The forum was opened by Keiichi Aritomo, WAIFC Chairman, and Ken Poonoosamy, Chair of the Africa Roundtable. Keynote presentations from Ken Shibusawa, founder of &Capital, highlighted key strategies for enhancing collaboration and unlocking Africa’s potential as a growth market for Japanese businesses. 🤝 The Africa Roundtable, which includes organizations such as the Economic Development Board Mauritius, Casablanca Finance City, EnterpriseNGR of Nigeria, and Kigali International Financial Centre, continues to foster synergies across Africa’s financial hubs to drive sustainable economic growth on the continent. 📈 Commenting on the forum, Ken Poonoosamy said: “#WAIFC provides a great platform for us to meet our collective objective to unlock Africa’s vast potential. By collaborating with our peers in different markets, we can further strengthen Africa’s presence in the global financial landscape.” Keiichi Aritomo added: “Leveraging the WAIFC platform to organize such a forum between two major hubs demonstrates how WAIFC can facilitate meaningful exchange and foster collaboration internationally We look forward to seeing the outcomes of the collaboration.” 📲Read more: https://lnkd.in/esgyYqJu #WAIFC #AfricaRoundtable #BusinessForum #JapanAfricaCollaboration #InvestmentOpportunities #GlobalFinance
