My most sincere thanks to the invitation from the Ambassador of Sweden in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Her Excellency Petra Menander, I had the pleasure to join the panel "Being a force in health technology and life sciences" at Global Health Exhibition - ملتقى الصحة العالمي in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It was my privilege to share with the audience the great support that I received from Lund University, the government of Sweden, and various governmental and private fundings to support my journey as a scientist and entrepreneur. Lundoch Diagnostics that I founded in 2020 with the help from Lund University Innovation is now providing services and products to various markets including Sweden, France and the US. With our leading technologies in diabetes early risk detection by AI-driven blood test, and precision companion diagnostic for incretin treatment, we are on a great mission to save the world from diabetes. I also want to thank the Embassy of Sweden for connecting us with great partners in Saudi Arabia, UAE and Jordan; as well as our coordinators Ali Shakir, Razan Al-Shammari and our fellow panelists Ziyad A. Kabli, the Regional Vice President Middle East at Diaverum; Najlaa Omran Kateb, Director of Innovation Center at Ministry of Health Saudi Arabia; and Björn Almér, Chief Business Officer at Skåne Care.

Another great time at GHE KSA in Riyadh with the Diaverum Team and M42 Colleagues. ICLDC’s care model and integration of Innovation and technology was part of many conversations we were very proud of. A great panel on innovation chaired by ambassador Petra Menander at Diaverum Saudi Arabia | دياڤيرم السعودية at Global Health Exhibition - ملتقى الصحة العالمي Sweden's close triple helix collaboration of Public, Private and Academia has been a foundation for the high ranking Sweden enjoys in innovation. A small but helpful detail has been "The professor's privilege" a unique law giving researchers at our universities automatic IP rights for their findings. This has given a strong incentive to commercialize innovation and reduce the time from discovery to patient benefit. The panel agreed both our nations are good at sharing insights and collaborating across borders and the framework for healthcare collaboration between our kingdoms is strong.
