I am deeply grateful to have had the opportunity to be part of the Chem-E Car Competition team, which represented the University of Bahrain at the Middle East Process Engineering Conference and Exhibition (MEPEC) 2024, at the Dhahran Expo, KSA, hosted by the AIChE - American Institute of Chemical Engineers. Our team has secured the second place in the Middle East Regional Competition, which has led us to qualify for the finals in San Diego, USA. None of this would have been possible without the dedication and unwavering commitment of my extraordinary team, Jamal Nawaf Khiss, Mohammed Adel, Talal Alkhulaqi, Ahmad Salameen, Mariam Taj Muhammad, Fatema Salah and Raghad Nassar, whom I am immensely thankful for. Their exceptional team spirit, innovative ideas, and hours of tireless work, paired with the valuable support & encouragement of our supervisors, Dr's Mohamed Bin Shams, Bintu Jasson, M.Tech., Shaker Haji, as well as The College of Engineering at the University of Bahrain, have altogether made this experience nothing short of remarkable & unforgettable. 🤝 Reconnected with my good friend, Bashir Dabbousi at MEPEC (Middle East Process Engineering Conference and Exhibition) 2024 after a bustling Day 2. Bashir holds the esteemed position of Director of Technology Strategy & Planning at aramco, while also serving as a distinguished Member of the Carbon Leadership Board at Rice University's Carbon Hub. 🌟 Also in good company is his wife, Rasha Hisham Daadoush, who leads the Aramco-SABIC Circular Solutions Real-Time Integration Team. It was an honor to present my technical session, titled "A Plant's Sustainability by Utilizing Flare Gas Recovery Systems (FGRS)" jointly with Naseem Al-Rashedi at MEPEC (Middle East Process Engineering Conference and Exhibition). The presentation highlighted the environmental advantages and cost-effectiveness of implementing FGRS. It provided a technical comparison of various FGRS types, specifically Liquid Ring Compressors and Jet Ejectors, discussing their operational principles, energy efficiency, implementation challenges, and safety considerations. Special thanks to our Project Management Liquid To Chemical Leaders for paving the way for excellence.

I had the incredible opportunity to attend and participate in the MEPEC (Middle East Process Engineering ConfEx) 2024 as both a technical speaker and a member of the ChemME Youth technical committee. 🎤 As a technical speaker, I had the pleasure of presenting my work on the Physics-Informed Automated Discovery of Kinetic Models. My research explores the effectiveness of mathematical constraints in the discovery of probabilistic kinetic models, aiming to enhance accuracy and efficiency in reaction engineering. Thank you to my supervisors for their continued support: Ehecatl Antonio del Rio Chanona, Dongda Zhang, Klaus Hellgardt and Mimi Hii. 💡 As a member of the technical committee of the ChemME Youth program (big shout out to Dr. Basim Abussaud, Jaffer Al-Maskeen, Mohammed AlMutawa, and all other members for their instrumental role), I had the honor of organizing and moderating the technical debates alongside Abdulrahman Alahmari عبدالرحمن الأحمري. We engaged with students and young professionals to discuss important topics on decarbonization, sustainability, and digitalization. 🙏 A big thank you to our expert judges—Mohammed AlAmer, Ph.D., Ahmed Alshaikh, MBD, PMP, and Dr. Saleh AlShebil—for sharing their vast knowledge and taking time from their busy schedules. 🏠 Being back in Saudi Arabia, where I grew up, was truly special. 🔥 Day 2 at MEPEC for the ChemME Youth Program was packed with innovation and creativity! Participants had an early session of a round table from five notable experts in today’s industry and dove deeper into advanced topics, including blockchain applications in our daily business. The day also featured an enlightening keynote from a leading industry expert, followed by interactive breakout sessions. The networking opportunities continued, fostering valuable connections among young engineers and industry veterans.
