This week is 𝗔𝗨𝗦𝗔 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰! Meet us at booth #𝟯𝟱𝟰𝟯. Leading up to Association of the United States Army - AUSA 2024, we have run a short series of posts about different capabilities within geospatial technology. In this final post we take a closer look at 𝗖-𝗨𝗔𝗦 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗶𝗿 𝗗𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲. In counter-UAS operations, securing the airspace requires a robust integration of detection, identification, tracking, and interdiction capabilities to neutralize any threat to the safety and integrity of the airspace. Ensuring comprehensive sensor and effector coverage of the airspace is critical. Given the complexity of airspace coverage, real-time 3D airspace coverage visualization provides a strategic advantage by calculating and visualizing real-time airspace coverage in a clear and actionable format. This capability provides an immediate and accurate assessment of coverage quality, allowing operators to optimize sensor and effector placement for maximum effectiveness. Visit us at AUSA to learn more about how Carmenta's real-time 3D airspace coverage calculation, across multiple sensors, enhances situational awareness and enables operators to fine-tune positioning and boost detection rates. #AUSA2024 #Geospatial #AirDefence

The Geospatial Solutions Market is an exciting market that is growing rapidly. We are seeing a huge increase in demand for advanced tactical routing of uncrewed vehicles, both in the air and on the ground, as well as the need for interoperability between a variety of different types of crewed and uncrewed vehicles operating together. Performing different types of real-time geospatial analyses based on static and dynamic information is a prerequisite for having an up-to-date situational awareness. We are pleased to be able to offer these services to both the military and civilian community. #geospatial #marketpotential

Article 3/4 in our article series leading up to Association of the United States Army - AUSA 2024 next week: 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗨𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘄𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝘀. Uncrewed platforms have become essential in both modern and future military operations, playing a crucial role in military logistics by ensuring 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆 to troops on the battlefield. These uncrewed platforms, which transport important loads to the front line, must navigate constantly changing environments and threats. 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹-𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗴𝗲𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘀𝗶𝘀 enhances their ability to adapt, providing superior situational awareness and supporting both human and autonomous decision-making. Typically, it is the combination of highly configurable geospatial analysis that provides real value in complex scenarios. For instance, in a military drone delivery scenario, when a frontline unit faces a hostile environment with ammunition and medical supplies running low, geospatial analysis can be combined to automatically determine a suitable drop-off location and an optimal UAS route. The route can be calculated to avoid enemy detection, maintain communication with HQ, troops and GNSS, and ensure that weather conditions are suitable and that there are adequate escape routes. By synchronizing the arrival of the UAS with ground troops, 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝘅𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱. Visit us at booth #3543 and learn more about how Carmenta's geospatial analysis enhances #UAS capability for military logistics by providing accurate, timely, and actionable information for decision-making, planning, and executing operations in diverse and often challenging environments, or to experience a live demo. #AUSA #ResupplyMissions #Unmanned

In our series on different capabilities within geospatial technology, leading up to Association of the United States Army - AUSA 2024, we began by exploring Ground Missions. In this second post of the series, we have now come to 𝗨𝗔𝗦 (𝗨𝗻𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺) 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴. Identifying risks at the planning stage is critical in UAS mission planning to minimize the risk of losing the UAS during flight, thereby increasing the probability of a successful mission. 𝗚𝗲𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘀𝗶𝘀 plays an essential role in identifying risks as early as possible. By calculating vertical clearance along the flight path, potential obstacles and hazards can be identified and avoided. A vertical profile helps the operator understand the terrain and provides the information necessary to adjust the flight path accordingly. To take it to the next step, automatic calculation of the 𝗻𝗮𝗽-𝗼𝗳-𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗨𝗔𝗩 (𝗨𝗻𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗩𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲) 𝗿𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀 that avoid or minimize detection by known sensors or effectors reduces the operator's workload and provides the safest, most efficient flight route. In order to identify a safe landing area at the end of a flight or during an emergency, 𝗴𝗲𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘆𝘀𝗲𝘀 offer the ability to calculate landing sites for both normal and emergency landings. These sites are selected based on terrain and UAS features and ensure accessibility from roads or through the surrounding terrain. Visit us at booth #3543 at #AUSA and learn more about Carmenta's UAS capabilities or simply to experience a live demo.
