Angel investors are often the unsung heroes of the startup ecosystem. They write the first checks, take extremely high risks, and for many first time founders often act as the first sounding board on a wide range of issues such as financials, governance, and board work. But we need more of them. One of the limiting factors to writing those first angel investor checks is often uncertainty about deal structure, terms and market standards. And for more experienced angel investors, being attuned to market terms and processes for follow-on rounds can be invaluable to their portfolio companies raising new rounds. That's why I'm looking forward to mentoring angel investors and professionals planning to start angel investing at the upcoming cohort of Next Angel | Investor Accelerator by Connect Sverige Region Öst. I'll talk about the investment process - deal structures, shareholders' agreements and all things related.
