Our solutions enables transmission of energy and is used in a wide range of products, from electric vehicles to solutions that enables transport of energy within and between countries, both beneath and above surface. ” On the energy side, pre-studies have begun to find alternative solutions for natural gas, such as hydrogen and gasification of biomass. Another related energy project is installation of gas sensors to measure and control gas consumption. To get better control of the waste situation, a more efficient and more sustainable waste management collaboration with Stena Metall has been started. Further waste initiative aims to reduce emulsions being sent to waste treatment. The homework help program is part of the handball club OV’s initiative ”OV Handball & School,” supported by Elcowire. The goal of the initiative is to create a meaningful environment for children and young people in Helsingborg and is a collaboration between OV, the schools in Helsingborg, and the police. One of the efforts included in the initiative is providing homework help to children in socio-economically disadvantaged areas. At Elcowire, in addition to contributing financially, we support the initiative by giving our employees the opportunity to volunteer as homework tutors. Being a tutor means joining a pool of employees who collectively take responsibility for staffing the homework help with two people at a time each week to assist children aged 10-12 with their homework in their school environment. Solomon Mutyaba receives help with his Swedish homework from Thomas Lindblom from Elcowire. They both discover they share a love for football. Solomon is a left-back for Stattena, while Thomas has a past career as a goalkeeper. Ziel der Initiative ist es, eine sinnvolle Freizeitgestaltung für Kinder und Jugendliche in Helsingborg zu schaffen. Das Projekt ist eine Zusammenarbeit zwischen OV, den Schulen in Helsingborg und der Polizei. Ein Teil der Maßnahmen, die in der Initiative enthalten sind, ist die Nachhilfe für Kinder in sozioökonomisch benachteiligten Gebieten. Wir bei Elcowire unterstützen dieses Projekt nicht nur finanziell, sondern bieten unseren Mitarbeitenden auch die Möglichkeit, als Nachhilfelehrer tätig zu sein. Nachhilfelehrer zu sein bedeutet, dass man Teil eines Teams von Mitarbeitenden ist, die gemeinsam dafür verantwortlich sind, die Nachhilfe wöchentlich mit zwei Personen zu besetzen. Diese helfen Kindern im Alter von 10 bis 12 Jahren bei ihren Hausaufgaben in ihrer schulischen Umgebung. Solomon Mutyaba erhält Hilfe bei seinen Schwedisch-Hausaufgaben von Thomas Lindblom von Elcowire. Sie stellen fest, dass beide Fußball mögen. Solomon spielt als Linksverteidiger bei Stattena, während Thomas eine Karriere als Torwart hinter sich hat. This agreement establishes the framework for the long-term supply of up to 9 MW of biogas to Elcowire’s Helsingborg facility. With this move, Elcowire will become the world’s first copper wire producer to operate using fossil-free energy. By transitioning from fossil gas to Meva Energy’s renewable biogas, Elcowire aims to decarbonize its copper melting process, setting a new sustainability benchmark for the global metallurgy industry. This partnership also represents an important step for Elcowire in achieving its long-term environmental goals. “We are excited about this partnership.
