I loved to participate at EQT Ventures and EQT Growth's Scale Summit in Stockholm! Founders of generation-defining companies gathered to network, get inspired, and trade secrets on scaling fast-growth startups. I had a great time speaking on the panel Creative & Scale alongside Ted Persson, Partner at EQT Ventures, and Carl Pei, Founder and CEO of Nothing. I also joined Polly Barnes, Operating Partner Talent at EQT Ventures, and actor Alexander Skarsgård (Have you seen him as Lukas Matsson on Succession? An epic portrayal of a startup founder!) to discuss Founder Personas. Stay tuned for more details on these sessions soon! On top of that, we hosted a workshop on Harnessing the Power of Storytelling, and I got to experience my first Swedish crayfish party—complete with an AI twist! 🦞

As we hosted founders and CEOs at Scale Summit in Stockholm, we made sure attendees got a true taste of the Swedish archipelago and a traditional Swedish crayfish party—with a modern AI twist (Princess Momo Arnesson). We set sail, and the team at Candela put on a breathtaking sunset show with their 100% electric hydrofoil boats. The Candela C-8 is a long-range, all-electric craft that glides silently above the water, while the Candela P-12 showcases the future of fast electric commuting. It was a perfect blend of tradition and innovation! Thank you Candela, Gustav Hasselskog, Mikael Mahlberg 🌅

New investment alert! Vsim ’s revolutionary architecture and set of algorithms enable companies in robotics, AI, Visual FX, research, and the industrial metaverse to fast track a wide range of cross-disciplinary, high quality physics simulations. The seed funding round led by EQT Ventures will support the growth of Vsim’s exceptional team as the company seeks to build a full-stack solution tailored to robotics. Co-founded in 2022 and led by Michelle Lu, CEO, and Kier Storey, CTO, Vsim benefits from its founders’ 20 years of experience in physics simulation that include over a decade each in Nvidia's simulation technology team, developing open-source physics engines. Sandra Malmberg 👋, the partner at EQT Ventures who led the round, said in an interview with TechCrunch: “The reason we’re excited about simulation is that it’s fundamental to a lot of different sectors, ranging from research to entertainment to manufacturing, pharma and robotics. Simulation tools today are built for a world with a limited degree of freedom and for fixed environments, but as ambitions for applications grow, robots (and other autonomous machines) will need to make decisions in real time and in the real world, which is dynamic and unpredictable. “There is no simulation platform for that today,” Malmberg continued. “This calls for a high performance simulation where you can act with speed, in real time, with accuracy, taking the room and the world into consideration. And this is what Vsim is building. They can enable robots initially and later, they will do more.” Excited to be part of this alongside Factorial Funds, Samsung Next, Tru Arrow Partners, Xora Innovation (a fully owned subsidiary of Temasek), IQ Capital, Koro Capital, Concept Ventures, Lakestar Scout Fund, and Carles Reina. This follows a pre-seed fundraise led by Concept Ventures in 2023.

If you want to build “Spec” to “Pull Request” software development automation 🤖, what use case would you tackle first with current LLM models at your disposal? 💡 Two key questions come to mind: 1️⃣ - In which type of setup will you already have detailed specs and context fully prepared in the current software development cycle? 2️⃣ - In what situations could you tolerate the system working only 10-20% of the time? For me, the answer to both questions could be: Replacing outsourced development offshore. 🌍 Imagine an organization where precise specs are created in-house and then sent to offshore teams, expected to deliver PRs. This isn’t the typical Tech Native setup, but it exists—and could be a perfect fit for automation given the current model performance. ⚙️ You would send your spec to the agent first, and only if it fails, would you send it offshore—similar to Call Center automation. The human becomes the fallback when the agents can’t deliver. 🔁 This workflow might sound generic, but I believe the quality and level of detail an organization is used to producing in their current dev cycles is critical. In fact, I intuitively think specs are often far more detailed when outsourcing versus working with an internal software team sitting right next to you. 📋✍️ What do you think? 🤔 Do you know any companies specifically focused on automating software development for organizations that rely heavily on outsourcing? PS: Not sure I would trust chatgpt to draw me a flow chart. See below 🤦♂️
