Today officially marks 1 year since the start of EverHire! I am beyond proud of everyone that is part of EverHire and over the moon with the things we have all achieved in the first 12 months of the business! Starting a business has been the hardest but also most rewarding thing I have ever done. In just 12 months I have learnt so many things I did not previously know about business and also improved my skillset faster than any other period in my career to date. I am truly greatful for the amazing team here at EverHire that I get to work with everyday: Raphael Loizou, Benjamin Thomas, Ryan Rayner, Emma Johansson, Emma Karlström, Hannah Hyams, Håkan Broman, Ann Billberg, Edmund Blogg, Holly Jackson, Ju Pollard (Choi) FCCA, thank you to you all so much you make the company what it is today. Some of the key achievement during the first 12 months: - Grew the business from me in my spare bedroom to 8 full time members of staff and 5 part time 🫡. - Sucesfully delivered recruitment projects for 24 different customers 🎉. - Helped 76 candidates find their dream permanant positions, across Sweden 🇸🇪, Denmark 🇩🇰, and the US 🇺🇸. - Secured 4 candidates long term consulting assignments ✅. - Sucessefully completed 2 full RPO projects 👏. - Launched and moved into an office in Epping, UK 🇬🇧. - Launched a Swedish Business and moved into an office in Stockholm, Sweden 🇸🇪. - Recognised as the market leader for Civil Engineering recruitment in Sweden 🏆. - WON Business Leader of 2024 at UK Business Awards 🏆. - SHORTLISTED FINALIST at Great British Entrepreneur Awards & Community 🫡🇬🇧. Now here are some of the things that not all founders will tell you…. - It has been the hardest thing I have ever done. - I have worked more hours than I ever have done, 12-13 hours a day has become normal. - I have had considerably less time to do my hobbies / personal pursuits. - I have missed many social events. - I have not spent as much time with my loved ones. - There have been times that we have lost business (some of it by choice). - Not every single hire I have made has worked out, I have unfortunately had to let people go. HOWEVER I WOULD NOT TRADE IT FOR THE WOLRD! Nothing good in life comes easy and I am truly greatful every day that I get to do something I love for my work. I cannot wait to see how far we come in the next 12 months!
