  • Are you a traffic or urban planner looking to drive sustainable urban transformation? Join us for a dynamic and insightful webinar on April 23, from 16:00 to 17:00 CEST, where we will explore innovative tools and strategies to reshape car-dominated streets into greener, more human-centered spaces. Register here: https://lnkd.in/dj2nYtdM This event is tailored for professionals like you—whether you're dealing with the challenges of car-centric urban planning or are focused on creating walkable, bikeable, and vibrant environments. You will gain practical insights into Streetmeeter, a tool developed to help planners and decision-makers make compelling, data-driven arguments for sustainable street transformations. About the Webinar The webinar will introduce Streetmeeter, a tool developed during a Future Mobility innovation project. Streetmeeter is a web app designed to support sustainable street design in Sweden and North America. This tool, created through a collaborative project involving leading urban design firms Spacescape (Sweden), RISE Research Institutes of Sweden, Street Plans (United States), and On A Wednesday Afternoon, helps planners rethink car-oriented streets and create more livable urban spaces. The tool is currently being tested in ongoing projects in Swedish and American municipalities, with feedback from planners incorporated into its development process. In addition to Streetmeeter, you’ll discover how the Streetmix platform enables planners to visualize street redesigns and engage stakeholders in shaping more sustainable urban spaces. Mike Lydon, from Street Plans, will deliver a lecture on developing streets that are both sustainable and people-friendly. He will cover the key factors involved in transforming streetscapes, share stories of successful past projects, and explain the calculations behind effective street designs. Speakers: Alexander Ståhle, Spacescape, Katarina Borg, RISE, Lou Huang, Founder of Steetmix, Mike Lydon, Street Plans, Hans Pohl, Programme Manager, Future Mobility, Malin Eklund, Programme manager, Vinnova & Björn Svensby Kurling, Programme Manager, Societal Development, Vinnova If you’re passionate about transforming streetscapes and want to learn how to leverage new technologies and tools in your work, this event is for you!

  • Demo day in California: Deploying supervised autonomous drones equipped with software that blends AI and wildlife science to efficiently deter wildlife from airport areas without harming them. These dock-based drones, managed through Flox wildlife management platform by airport safety teams, are designed to enhance daily wildlife management operations from inspections to runway clearance ahead of aircraft takeoffs and landings. The project, Wildlife-Strike Prevention with Flox at Silicon Valley Airport, is led by Flox, in collaboration with the County of San Mateo - Airports Division and funded by Future Mobility. • In January 2025, following CES 2025 in Las Vegas, Future Mobility co-sponsored the Nordic Autonomous Mobility Week in Silicon Valley, providing state-of-the-art insights into autonomous vehicles (AVs) for leading experts, policymakers, and innovators from Sweden, Norway, and the United States. "The Nordic Autonomous Innovation Summit is the only conference I've attended where all of the key stakeholders in autonomous mobility were in the room. Top regulators from California DMV and CPUC were there to provide perspective and have an open dialog with tech companies alongside economic development representatives from around the world." – Cameron Gieda, Director of Business Development, PonyAI USA “It was incredibly educational and valuable to experience the technology firsthand and to meet and discuss developments with knowledgeable industry professionals.” – Mikael Ivari, Senior Advisor at Department for Urban Environment, City of Gothenburg. “Experiencing Waymo’s robotaxi in San Francisco and discussing autonomous mobility at the Nordic Autonomous Innovation Summit highlighted the importance of collaboration across industries and national borders. While the U.S. drives innovation at a high pace, we in the Nordic region have the opportunity to establish structures for safe and sustainable implementation. There is much we can learn from each other!”  – Fredrik Åkeson, Chief Product Officer, AstaZero.  "Very inspiring and a great opportunity to meet and engage with leading companies and authorities in the field of autonomous vehicles. It was especially nice to see several visitors from prominent public transport companies. Already looking forward to the next conference!” – Martin Wahlgren, CEO, Consat Group.

  • Webinar: A Design Framework: Mobility Hubs for Women & Caregivers Transportation should work for everyone. Yet, too often, it doesn’t reflect the needs of women and caregivers. • Swedish AI drones to reduce wildlife strikes in the United States The aviation industry faces a growing challenge in mitigating wildlife strikes, which pose a threat to both human life and aircraft safety. Traditional wildlife management methods—such as patrolling with vehicles, using pyrotechnics, trained dogs and gunshots—are proving to be inefficient. This has opened the door for innovation, and Flox is leading the charge in a new project supported by Future Mobility. In this research and innovation project supported by Future Mobility, Flox in partnership with HMB Airport, situated at the heart of Silicon Valley, and operated by the County of San Mateo - Airports Division, is deploying supervised autonomous drones equipped with software that blends AI and wildlife science to efficiently deter wildlife from airport areas without harming them. These dock-based drones, managed through Flox wildlife management platform by airport safety teams, are designed to enhance daily wildlife management operations from inspections to runway clearance ahead of aircraft takeoffs and landings. Building on successful trials at Swedish airports in Malmö, Kiruna, and Umeå, Flox is now expanding its reach to the United States to expand the Swedish proprietary tech. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) have recently begun exploring the use of drone technology into wildlife management protocols at airports in the United States. This project led by Flox presents an opportunity to further validate the system in the challenging environment of an airport located in the United States, pushing both technological and regulatory boundaries.  "Expanding into the U.S. market is a major milestone for Flox. This collaboration made possible through the support of Future Mobility, allows us to showcase how our technology enhances safety and sustainability in wildlife management at airports. As a Swedish company with a global vision, this marks an important step in our international growth and our mission to minimize conflicts between wildlife and infrastructure worldwide." – Kristoffer Ohlsson, Chief Commercial Officer, Flox.
