HemoCue was honored to participate in the Sweden-Indonesia Sustainability Partnership (SISP) 7K Run in Jakarta, where we connected with Indonesian ministers, Swedish stakeholders, and other key players. The event underscored the importance of working together to promote sustainable practices and healthier living. It was an opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations with representatives from both the government and private sector, exploring how HemoCue’s point-of-care solutions can complement shared efforts to improve healthcare. Alongside our partners, PT. MEDQUEST JAYA GLOBAL, we provided health screenings, a tangible example of how partnerships can amplify impact. SISP is a platform for promoting discussions, sparking collaborations, and forging partnerships that drive progress toward the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. By uniting expertise, we can collectively bring better care to communities across Indonesia and beyond. Have you ever heard of HbA1c? HbA1c is a vital component in improving the quality of care for children living with type 1 diabetes in low- and middle-income countries. HbA1c levels represent the average blood sugar levels over the past 2-3 months. The use of point-of-care testing for HbA1c provides the opportunity for more timely changes of treatment, and by improved control of HbA1c, children suffering from diabetes can experience better outcomes. “The partnership between Novo Nordisk and HemoCue ensures availability of the HbA1c diabetes marker to children that otherwise would not have access to that marker. Last week was #WorldPatientSafetyDay - a global initiative bringing together patients, healthcare professionals, policymakers and many others, to help raise awareness about the vital role of correct and timely diagnosis in improving patient safety. A diagnosis identifies a patient's health problem and is key to accessing the care and treatment they need.
