TechBBQ gathered 8000 people; investors, startups, catalysts and students for meetings, expos, pitching, and more. Among many, one theme addressed today was the challenges and opportunities of connecting the Nordic startup ecosystem with the rest of the world, including internationalization and investment. We explored new developments in artificial intelligence and met with fantastic companies. Happy to see 'our' start-up Cognes' CEO Sandra Challma on stage, among the ten carefully selected pitchers - competing for a place in the finals of #WorldStartUpCup. <<EXPERTS IN THE HOUSE>>   Last week, we hosted our second Expert Room session at Ideon, where our startups received answers to their business questions from industry experts in Sales, Law, IP, Sustainability, Wellbeing, and Leadership. Feedback from Christo van Zyl, Founder of Chaos Out Of Order, an early detection system to reduce the spread of the spruce bark beetle: "Ideon's Expert Rooms allowed us to ask the right people the right questions. The one thing about asking an expert is that it saves us so much time learning about each business area. We get advice on what we need to be doing at our specific stage of development instead of focusing on the wrong things. Each answer was specifically focused on our scenario. We now know what to work on for our next few steps to create a solid foundation and how to build upon it." We’re excited to see the positive impact these sessions have on our startups! Pitching is probably something you are already doing without noticing, such as when trying to sell an idea to your employer or something like that. Ideon’s training ‘Pitcher’s Corner’ is well-renowned and effective pitch training that helps you get even better at pitching. A great pitch is short, precise, and has a clear call to action at the end. WHY PITCH?
