In the season of shopping-craze we should realise how inefficient consumption currently is. But there are better alternatives for both customers and brands, and of course our planet. Help us to spread the world about this huge opportunity to scale a more sustainable consumption. In this video our founder Alexander Engl describes the inefficiencies of retail and consumption and an opportunity to give consumers and brands an alternative that is not only sustainable but simply better. Help us to scale sustainable consumption: like, share, join and introduce our concept to your connections. 📣 Big News: We are officially launching the European Digital Kiosks network, a collaboration of sharing economy station providers and European cities. Self-service stations have a huge opportunity to revolutionize the way we consume. They will make it much more efficient to access products instead of buying. It is a new market that needs leadership and collaboration. That is why we are part of the founder class of this European network to collaborate rather than compete to bring this future closer: 👨🏫 Work together with policy makers to showcase the full potential of this a extended network of access stations. 🔍 Understand the socio-economic and environmental impact of sharing stations. 🏦 Access funding opportunities and deploy new pilots and larger hubs of sharing stations. We are happy to join the network initiated by Bax, together with Equip Sport, BoxUp, Les Biens en Commun, Library of Things, Familjebostäder, Familjebostäder i Göteborg AB, Sia Habitat, Freie und Hansestadt Hamburg, Jyväskylän kaupunki - City of Jyväskylä and several more. Thanks Impact Loop and Christian for writing about our new direction ihopa. We are looking to 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐦 in order to establish sustainable consumption as the logical choice over buying. After 3 years of hard work to find the right recipe to change consumption, 𝐢𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐚 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐬 𝐚 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐩 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲. We have proven that giving people access to great home and leisure products via our self-service hubs is profitable and can be scaled. However, we have to adapt to the market reality that funding new circular concepts has become difficult. Of course, we will not say no to equity investors, but we are restructuring our company to not needing Venture Capital money to survive. We are now looking for partnerships with retailers, real estate companies and brands that want to grow access to products together with us. A recent report from SEBs strategic analyst Christopher Lyrhem discussed the shift towards the access economy having a similar potential as the shift toward e-commerce had. So there is a huge upside for early adopters. Our team is very dedicated to make this work, because a sustainable world needs real alternatives to overbuying. Connections to the right people and partners would be very appreciated and so would a like or share to reach them. Nu letar vi efter nya medgrundare som kan komma in med kompletterande kompetenser så att vi kan utvecklas vidare", säger grundaren och vd:n Alexander Engl. Products "On-demand" - the next disruptive wave in retail, a similar shift like e-commerce was! A new SEB report describes the huge potential of making products accessible as a service: A new trillion dollar market that can reach 20% of retail within the next 20 years. Christopher Lyrhem has crunched at a lot of market and customer data and forecasts that after the last shifts towards shopping centers in the 70s and e-commerce in the 2010s, the next big shift will be the one towards products as a service."In the next 10 years, I believe there is a fourth wave coming…a wave of On-demand. I call this "Commerce 4.0". This wave is fundamentally different from the prior three, as it relies on selling on-demand access [...to physical products], instead of selling product units. This shift could rewrite the way optimal customer relationships are formed" We at ihopa are not really surprised as we see the same in the market. What we also see is that the market needs more scalable systems to grow in this direction. Our grannbox concept is one such, confirmed by user numbers, profitable unit economics and international partners.  If you want to be part of the future of consumption, join our journey! #investors #customers #followers  Learn more about how we are building a scalable distribution system for the access economy in the recent video with our founder Alexander Engl : https://lnkd.in/d9xYJcDs #angelinvestors #vcfunding #futureofcommerce #futureofconsumption #futureofretail #circulareconomy #circularity #accesseconomy #sharingeconomy #sustainableconsumption #sustainability #sustainableinnovation #sustainablefuture #sustainabilitygoals

Could "On-demand" become the fourth and next disruptive wave in commerce? I believe so. A century ago, we primarily had small stores as our outlets for consumption. Then big commerce chains formed and grabbed a big chunk of the commerce landscape…and then online platforms emerged and helped retailers sell products to consumers in a whole new way. These have been three distinct waves that each abstracted complexity for customers. People love to abstract complexity. We all just want to press Play for problems to go away. In the next 10 years, I believe there is a fourth wave coming…a wave of On-demand. I call this "Commerce 4.0". This wave is fundamentally different from the prior three, as it relies on selling on-demand service, instead of selling product units. This shift could rewrite the way optimal customer relationships are formed and maintained. Instead of a linear process, which is the norm of today, we could enter a future where a continuous loop reigns supreme. A loop of continuous service delivery and relationship. Continually delighting customers will be more important than persuading them to buying units. And if usership (e.g. subscriptions) of physical products become as good as subscriptions in the digital world, we could see a future where physical commerce, online commerce, and usership commerce, become distinct dimensions. After e-commerce took roughly 20% of the commerce cake, over 20 years...usership could do a similar journey – taking 20% over the coming 20 years. And, after the emergence of massive e-commerce platforms, we could see the emergence of usership platforms. Platforms that become the next major infrastructure for selling physical products (as a service). And people are very open to subscribing to physical products. Similar to how people were open to buying products through e-commerce platforms, in the beginning. In a SEB consumer survey, there is clear evidence for people being open to consider subscriptions for physical products (roughly 50% score seven or higher on a 0-10 scale). And younger generations (below age of 40) scored substantially (~30%) higher than older generations (the "Play Generation" is different from prior generations). And “products for our brains” that solve problems (cars, white goods, electronics, etc.) scored 3x higher than “products for our hearts” that solve preferences (apparel, furniture, etc.). Three key takeaways: 1. Commerce has changed substantially past 100 years – and in only a couple of decades its’ composition can transform dramatically. 2. There is clear evidence for people wanting to subscribe to physical products that solve problems, and there is a demographic tide where younger generation like “pressing play” more than older. 3. The market actors that create the infrastructure platform for Usership, could become the next generation of dominant commerce players. Usership is a major opportunity. #Usership #commerce
